I would say one of the best. I had one years ago and he was a big lovable clown and loved everyone. When ever he came over to me for a pet he would sit on my foot, 90 lbs. He would always take off after the cats and chase them. We had a big old black tom cat that would not play. It was so funny to see this big dog come to a screeching halt when the cat didn't run. They can't see too well when their hair is grown out over eyes. I would take Barney for walks and he would walk along with his nose to the ground and walk into power poles and hedges.
He was the dog that came back from the dead. He was run over by a truck and we took hem to the Vet. right away. They told he was in too bad of shape to survive. We told them to put him down so he did not suffer as he was already nine years old. About two months later we had a strange car come up the road. It turned out to be the young Vet. from the hospital we used. He was really nervous when he started to talk to us. I guess because they had not done what we said. He went on to say that night when they were going to put Barney down that he had such a will to live they could not do it. They kept him for two months and nursed him back to health and wanted if we wanted him back. Guess the answer. He lived for another year and passed in his sleep one night. I really loved that dog.
