Special K is a horse tranquilizer...are you a horse? If not don't do it.

While low doses of Ketamine can increase heart-rate, at higher doses it depresses consciousness and breathing and is extremely dangerous to combine with downers like alcohol, Valium or GHB.
Frequent use can cause disruptions in consciousness and lead to neuroses or other mental disorders.
Ketamine can cause a tremendous psychological dependence. The dissociation from one's consciousness experienced with ketamine can be highly seductive to some people, and there are many cases of ketamine addiction.
Ketamine is illegal and possession can result in long prison terms.

Rat poisoning thins the blood and your dog can have internal bleeding from it and bleed out and die, but vitamin K helps the blood clot. Your dog should not have any side effects from the Vitamin K, but it may not help forsure. Keep giving it to him though, as your Vet recommended because that is the issue right now. Vitamin K can cause unwanted side effects if it's used for a long period of time, so I wouldn't worry about it during this treatment phase to prevent bleeding.

"K" stands for Potassium, which is given in supplemental form for those who take large amounts of diuretics to relieve edema.

Unfortunately, the letter "K" also stands for a large number of other things, so from the wording of your question it is impossible to be sure we are talking about the same thing.

The most common name brand of Potassium supplement is called K-dur, and the generic name is usually written "Potassium CL" (chloride). The side effects are minimal, though an excessive dose can irritate the heart and even cause a lethal arrhythmia.

K supplements are also given to athletes or workers who must exert themselves heavily in high temperature conditions. These are usually called "salt tablets."

"K" is a letter of the alphabet, no known side effects. Seriously, your question doesn't give enough information to give you any more of an answer.

I have never heard of "K" !!!! Is it some form of esctacy??? wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole...I could be so wrong about what it is tho.. But I sure wouldn't take it if I didn't know!! We all can react differently to different drugs so just because one person says it did this or that to them doesn't mean it will do the same to you so be careful.....................
