You've got to face your fear. Everything that you don't like the appearance of....eat (or at least try). This has been scientifically proven and does work. Try this out any time there's something you see that's not very pretty if you know what I mean. I know this doesn't sound very fun, but just try it and after awhile you'll feel way better about what you eat.

It sounds like disordered eating.. but not an eating disorder.

An eating disorder usually involves some underlying emotional or mental issue, like problems maintaining a sense of control or dealing with emotional pain..

You are just a picky eater.
Don't go running out for treatment for a mental or eating disorder.
You choose to eat food first by the way it looks and second by the way it tastes.
Many people are picky when they are young and when you get older and more mature you will learn to be less picky. But not necessarily.

You are just a picky eater. I work in mental health and we have a lot of patients with eating disorders and it isn't like that. It isn't OCD either. It's just being a picky eater.

Please don't call yourself vegan, eating meat but not eating it when there are "veins" is not vegan or vegetarian. They don't eat meat at all. I am vegetarian and I don't eat meat no matter what it looks like.

Once my aunt made some really nasty Christmas cookies and gave them to us in a container that looked like Santa Claus. I ate some of the cookies and it made me sick. We kept that Santa Claus container, and every time I looked at it I felt sick again. A lot of people have funny psychological reactions to food, especially when they are young. It's not a mental disorder or eating disorder.

Hi Sweetie,
I believe wat u mean is r wanting 2 be a vegetarian, & meat at times grosses me out
& if u feel u can't eat the food, by all means don't! EAT WHAT U WANT! & no it's not an eating disorder!

No way!! Your just tramatized. Chill out! I one time found a dead fly on a mushroom that I was eating and now I hate mushrooms with a passion. Don't worry about it, there's nothing wrong with you.

I would say it is.. That sounds horrible.. I mean I would hate to have that kind of problem rideing on me. I bet you hate it too.. Maybe its more like OCD?? I bet you could classify it as OCD..
