Okay, I know I am probably going to get a lot of wackos for this question, but please try to be as serious as possible. The way I see it, is that everyone has psychic abilities, but it is there own choice whether or not to let them grow.

My problem is that I have never really paid attention to my intuition or anything like that, but I have noticed I have the abilities. Lately I have been getting a lot of weird signs though. We just moved into a new house and I think that might be part of it. The other day, I was laying in bed about to fall asleep(This is one of the state of minds where you are most susceptible to these things) and I heard voices, Loud and clear, and it was two men talking, having a casual conversation. No one was in the house and the TV's were all off. This might have been me taping into the otherside, or it could have been astral projection.

Another thing I am getting are wolves. I am dreaming about wolves, and they just keep coming to me in daily life. I see them in pictures, and in sculptures, on TV... I am trying to interpret these things but I don't really know how. I was wondering what kind of a message I am getting.. I have been trying to meet my spirit guides to help me though this, but it's kinda blunt for a first meeting, don't you think? I just haven't brought myself to meditating on it yet, but I am going to try. Maybe some of your advice will help me! Thank you!

How old is the house? Are you sure that you hadn't drifted off for a bit? The reason that I ask is that I NEVER believed in this stuff and I moved into a house that was nearly 300 y/o. It was part of the Freedom Trail- cool, right? Not. I had many, MANY friends and relatives tell me about all sorts of weird things that they heard. I experienced so many audio-related things, like someone walking up the stairs, that I got a dog! There was a closet door that used to open up all by itself, even though we had tied the thumb depressor in an "up" position. One day, I had a "remote fight"with the cable music system- it kept turning to another station right in front of two very astounded friends! I finally had a "talk" with whomever was living there, stating that I was living there now and their intervention was really upsetting & that I loved the place as much as they did. I was really REALLY P.O.d... things got quiet again. Mine tended to be really helpful! I would misplace something, crab about it, and Poof- whatever it was would show up after our "chat". No kidding!

If you love the place that you're living in, ignore it at first- it might go away. If not, move. If you do try to talk with it/them, be respectful and firm.

It sounds to me like you're opening up on some level to external influences (not necessarily on this plain). Maybe you're reading new books that are broadening your scope, thus allowing more to flow in. Once you have this type of relm opened to you, it can come back in many different forms. For instance, my parents told me that I used to talk to someone in my Grand Mom's house & I knew the name and description of the woman who used to live there in the 40s, when they bought the house! I have absolutely no memory of this as I was 2. Ever since, I've been sensitive.

Follow your senses- if you dream about something repeatedly, pay attention, but there's no reason to fixate- let things evolve naturally & you'll get whatever it is trying to come through!

If you want to talk about this more, let me know and I'll figure out how to be in touch... just let me know in your "comments" area...

As I mentioned before, it just could have simply been a twilight dream!

Peace & light

OK here is the 411.

Our mind has conscious and subconscious components. The subconscious component makes up the bigger part and is the door way to all the information that our brains store. The biggest difference (beyond not really being aware of our subconscious) is that the sub does not speak in WORDS, that is only part of our consciousness. With this in mind it sometimes has to communicate with us. There are various ways that it does this but the 2 most important are:
1) Gut feeling - nerves connect our brain to our stomach and when we feel intuition about things that connection is illuminated. This is another form of decision making and this is why a lot of people who are very intuitive and make decisions that seem off the cuff but have a high rate of success often rely on their gut instinct (i am one of these people and am writing a book about it).

2) Sleep communication - while we sleep (or in some lucky cases approach sleep) the barrier if you will between consciousness and unconsciousness comes down a little and our subconsciousness begins to communicate. It does this by playing old memories (part or full) or amalgamating these memories into a form of allegorical story. This is our subconsciousness trying to help us come to terms with things or otherwise tell us things that we know but for some reason cannot get to the root of the issue. A real good example of this is the recurring nightmare. Much research shows that recurring nightmares generally end at the same point, this is symbolic of not being able to get over something. Generally once people get to the end of the dream it does not come back again. This means that our subconsciousness has helped us come to terms with something or to understand something. This can be related to traumatic experiences, the simple fact that as humans we now deal with so many other humans that our emotions and understanding overloads or simply why we didn't do all of our work that we were supposed to today.

So in summation which there is some evidence that brains have the ability to communicate with other brains and perhaps there is some kind of other brain activity we dint understand generally speaking the feeling of psychic activity is just a misconception of the brain trying to assist us live in the world that we are subjected to. Psychic abilities have been claimed since before science knew a lot about things and as such our society is full of such ideas. What I have put forward does not dampen and make our lives sad but really illuminates the wonder of the human mind and the way it has evolved to deal with things.

There are good de-bunking explanations for being at the half way mark. Meaning: The theories that explain that everyone does this. When we are drifting off to sleep our subconscious state of mind is slipping into focus as part of a conscious before we actually fall asleep. Sometimes it is frightening, because some nightmarish visions appear.

Please, don't tap into this. I did accidentally one time, and did make contact. Sounds wacky now right! well...I did have a conversation with the "entity". I asked "who are you?", and it replied..."there are many of us"...in a creepy hollow deep voice. I talked to someone about this, and they told me NOT to invoke or ever try communicating with "it" ever again.
I was tempted because it started out like a game. But, I will not go there anymore. I implore you not to explore this any further.

Yeah! I know I sound like a wacko, but, I shrug that off. Any experiment you do in life is fine, but you must take responsibility for the reactions you get. So, no I will never experiment with that "other side" ever again.

If you decide to try tapping IN for real, be afraid. The chances of speaking to a loved one is rare, but, may happen on an occasion. The rest, are entities, that I call "LIARS", they will try and make you believe they are your friend. They are not.

I have had a similar experience once. I could have sworn my brother was calling to be from under my bed. To this day it seemed completely real. I laid there hearing him calling, but I couldn't move, I was completely parallelized. Then with a after a few moments of trying to move so I could look under my bed, I was finally able to. I want to swear that I was awake the whole time I heard him and was trying to move.

I am not trying to say that you don't have some sort of psychic event, but our minds have the ability to make us believe things are real when they are only dreams. If you think about it your mind is really only ever interpreting signals and could theoretically make you see or hear anything, at any time.

Hmm... there's a fine line between having powerful abilities and just experiencing the effects of "hauntings"... you see I don't live in a particularly ghost-infested area, however when I went to London with friends, we ALL felt (and heard, and saw...) ghosts/spirits. This did not make us more receptive, it just meant that we were presented with the correct circumstances.

It's more probable that you're just in a new area with more supernatural activity. Or you could have been half-dreaming. That's happened to me before (I mean if you're half-asleep...) but sometimes it isn't just your imagination.

Yes everyone does have psychic abilities to a certain extent. Being presented with an opportunity, it would be good for you to develop yours.

It could be, but there is also the possibility that you were having a hallucination...there is that level between being awake and alert and being unconscious where we hear or see things that only exist within our minds. I often, as I'm falling asleep, am awakened by somebody calling my name. I've noticed this phenomenon since I was 12 years old...it's just a hallucination.

They're not "signs."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypnagogia

[Excerpt]

Hypnagogia (also spelled hypnogogia) describes vivid dreamlike auditory, visual, or tactile sensations, which are often accompanied by sleep paralysis and experienced when falling asleep or waking up.

The hypnagogic experience occurs between being awake and asleep, while the hypnopompic experience occurs as one is waking up; both experiences occur within the time period between sleep and waking (or vice versa). Experienced qualities vary, and include fear, awareness of a "presence", chest or back pressure, and an inability to breathe (hence the folkloric notion of mara-like creatures tormenting sleepers), a falling sensation or a feeling of tripping, but sometimes also joy.

During the hypnagogic state, an individual may appear to be fully awake, but has brain waves indicating that the individual is technically sleeping. Also, the individual may be completely aware of their state, which enables lucid dreamers to enter the dream state consciously directly from the waking state (see wake-initiated lucid dream technique).

The hypnagogic state is sometimes proposed as an explanation of experiences such as alien abduction, apparitions, or visions.

Don't be concerned about hearing voices unless they start talking *to you*. If that happens, I think it would be a very good idea to get counseling, from a physician or clergy or even a trusted psychic, whoever you feel comfortable with. It's not that uncommon for psychic people to hear voices. Educate yourself on the subject, don't be frightened, and don't listen to people who think you're possessed by demons. Feh.

Who knows? Maybe you were just having a waking dream, or you could have been hearing something like you suggested. About listening to your intuition, you should really do it more often, I listen to my gut instinct and it always comes through for me...
