I have seen younger children with eyesight problems, really right now you are doing the best you can givin the amount of information given. Why dont you grab four of her toys and hold them up seperately, one real close, further and further so you can kind of target the problem if there is one. I say toys because she will know what they are and be able to distinct between them easily.

What can we do? That is such a broad general explanation from her that I have no clue what could be the problem. Just go visit her doctor like you scheduled and see what he says. You really can't take any of what we say seriously - are you really going to trust a complete stranger to diagnose your daughter?

The fact that she runs up to you seems to indicate that she must be at least partly seeing. I don't think she suddenly developed nearsightedness in one day! Maybe you can find out; is it both eyes? Did it happen suddenly or gradually? Can she see nearby things but not far away? Etc. Try to stay calm, as it will make your daughter freak if you are in a total panic. PS I hope it is not serious!

it could be serious. I would go to the doctor as well as the optometrist. and three year olds can have bad eyesight. better safe than sorry =)
