can you not see the simularities when the Catholics say they stand beneath the Cross with Mary at every Mass. Meanwhile the other Apostles or disciples "look on from a distance" (Protestants)

I hate to tell you this, but Mary and all the apostles are dead.

John 3:13
"No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man.

Not the prophets either.

Hebrews 11:36-40
Still others had trial of mockings and scourgings, yes, and of chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, were tempted, were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented-- of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in dens and caves of the earth. And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, "did not receive the promise"
Yahweh having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.

Yes I do. At Mass before the liturgy begins Iam just in awe standing beneath Christ and usually brings tears to my eyes thinking and meditating what He did for all of us.

actually the gospel of john is believed to have been written by mary magedeline. she's reffered to as " the disciple whom he loved" in the gospel that had the passage with the phrased that jesus kissed her on her 0000 with the last word gone. under roman tradition only immediate family would have been allowed at the cross. also figure that jesus's followers would have gone to great lengths to protect the fact that jesus was the blood king of the jews. throughout the years the fourth gospel was assumed to be john. peace!

The Romans limited visitors just as do prisons today.

God does not limited people that want life. People themselves limit the relationship.
