I have dual citizenship,
but have yet to decide which
of the two I like better.

I am leaning towards Canada.

Which do you feel is better? And why?

Just so all people know, I have been to Canada.

I was born in Canada and lived there for eleven years of my life, and then moved to various different places, and lived in Oregon (US) for about 6 and a half years.

My family owns a house here in Quebec City, and a house in Oregon.

I just wanted to hear YOUR opinions.

Why choose? You have the best of both worlds. Just have an American and a Canadian passport. I was born in America and my parents are Jamaicans so I have dual citizenship and Im proud to be both.

It really depends on where you live right now and would love to spend the rest of your life living over there. For health care wise, Canada is better; for entertainment or shopping wise, US wins. For lower taxes, US wins too but they don't offer much pension plans as Canada does. Again, it depends on your preference of lifestyle. Oh one thing, having a Canadian passport could somehow save you from being attacked by any chances or being discriminated from foreigners if you are going to travel. Most people in nowadays just simply hate Americans for the cause of the endless wars and everything they are being so bitchy and arrogant.

well Canada's dollar is now worth more than the American dollar for the first time since 1976, the bush family was responsible for bankrupting America that time too! With what bush has done to America, there is NO question Canada! You're very lucky to have that choice!

I have to say canada.
why?
for all the reasons listed above me. Beautiful bilingual country, friendly people, clean, great healthcare, and plus canadians are respected and loved everywhere around the globe, unlike our neighbors.
cons- higher taxes than the americans
-things usually cost more here than they do in the US, hence why I love shopping trips to the south.

But anyways, take a trip down here and compare it yourself. Don't base your decision on what other people say. I recommend you visit Vancouver and Quebec City.

Other than the weather, Canada is beating the US in every measurable quality of life category.

For me, the Canadian winters are just too long.

Go with the Canadian.
Quality of life is better. Better beer, better hockey.
Travelling internationally on the Canadian passport is so much easier, and more people like you.
