I went back to school after my daughter was grown. I had the same concerns that you are experiencing. My daughter told me, "Mom, that's why we go to school -- to get smarter." She was right. I graduated at 50 summa *** laude. I attribute that as much or more to effort than to smarts. Go for it! You deserve it. I wish you well!
I noticed upon preview how the system interpreted my 4.0 GPA. Sorry, folks! lol!

I think the first thing to do is stop worrying and start taking charge of your life. So, focus on yourself here and now: Am I working up to my abilities or goofing off? Am I taking courses and a major that will help my chances of getting into law school? Why do I really want to go to law school? How tough is the program?
Now some pearly words of wisdom: 1Nothing worthwhile ever comes easy, else everyone would be doing it. 2. The key to success is hard work and never quitting. 3. Always ask for advice from those with more experience than you. 4. In tandem with 3, never guess.
So you really want to go to law school? OK, here's what they are looking for: Minimum overall GPA of 3.2, LSAT of 160+, community service, extracurricular activities and a great essay on why you want to be an attorney. Talk to a school counselor for details.
So, now you are in law school, its a 3 year grind and you better love this stuff. Average workweek 70-80 hours, grades are curved downward and no excuses allowed for anything. If you are committed, you can do it.

You don't really have to be all that smart to make it through Law School. You just need a lot of free time to read, and a good memory.
It becomes harder to maintain class rank after your first year, as all of the dumb and unmotivated people drop out.
After your first year, take classes that you think that you will like, even if it is not practical at all. You will make better grades that way. Don't worry about taking stuff that will be on the bar -- you will learn all that you need to know from a bar review course that you will take AFTER you graduate.

Use what smarts you have to compensate for what you can't do. I have your exact problem, so I'm already reviewing my LSAT test books. I also recognize the areas I'm poor in and study to compensate.
And there will always be someone smarter than you. Accept it as a fact of life, and worry about just doing your best. If someone didn't know more than you, you'd be living on a cave on a mountain, while hordes of people bugged you to solve their problems.
And if you want, we can practice LSAT stuff together. :D

Well, there will always be someone smarter than you. That's just a fact of life. Compete by finding strength within to fight the good fight again and again... I mean: be strong in your convictions. It doesn't matter if others are smarter than you are -- if you are dedicated and motivated, you can outsmart the top students. Have faith in yourself. Keep learning. Never give up! Trust me.

Don't worry about everyone else, for starters, just do the best that YOU can and only compete with yourself. So, when you set goals and you complete those goals early, you just beat yourself, right? And another thing, I'll bet you anything that most of your class mates feel the same way you do!!!

there will always be someone who is smarter than you, richer, prettier! Thats what my mom said to me. But not prettier because she thinks i'm the prettiest because she is my mom! but i want to go into psychology. and i dont think i'm smart enough. the only thing that gets me is math! it sucks for me. but you can be the smartest you want to be just study your little heart out... well if you have time from work and stuff. But I believe in you. Because I beleive in myself! So good luck with your future! Your going to be RICH if you make it! So go for it!

Doing well in college isn't about intelligence, nor is it a competition. It's about hard work and committment. If you put forth the effort, you will learn more than any genius who doesn't.
Just stay focused and work hard and don't be afraid to ask lots and lots of questions.

don't worry. I know more than one complete idiot who somehow passed the bar.
make the attempt. read a lot - especially viewpoints that differ from yours, especially history.
there's always someone "better" - if you settle to judge yourself that way. Just be the best YOU that you can.
