Yes! I am the VERY proud parent of an almost 18 year old son. He will be 18 om March 1st 2008. What a blessing he has been in our lives. You can join the local Down Syndrome group in your area where do you live my friend is the director in Utah. My son had a lot of problems in the beginning and had to have heart surgery and they told us he would not live past 5 but he is still here. He also has autism and he does not speak very much because of that but he is a trooper and we love him so much. He has been the King at the prom and school and the kids are great with him. If you want I can see if Julie has more information for you her daughter is much younger and I got rid of most of my books. It seems so long ago now.

Its the 21 chromosome! just type it in google and it will list a ton of things, treatments and all kinds of stuff that you'll need to know for your project. Cuz i need to write one too.
