Fleas, big fat female ones. Male fleas are smaller and blacker. Flea baths don't really do the job, after you have bathed your dog and gotten rid of what is there, the next lot jump on. I recommend getting Frontline or Advantage which works beautifully, all you have to do is rub the drops into the skin at the back of the neck and base of the tail. It lasts for weeks. Your vet can advise you. Good that you have washed the bedding, your vet can also advise you on environment products to help with fleas. A flea bomb in the home is also useful.

They are probably either fleas or ticks. Bring your dog to the vet to confirm it and get him some medicine, quick. Also make sure you vacuum ALL the couches, rugs, beds etc. And make sure you thoroughly was your sheets, blankets, your dogs bedding and any stuffed toys he may have. Also try and bathe your dog a bit more frequently than usually.
Also, If you want to, go somewhere that sells herbs and stuff and buy dried pennyroyal and pennyroyal oil. The dried pennyroyal gives off a minty smell that deters fleas (keep this in couch cushions, under matresses etc.) and put a LITTLE pennyroyal on your dog for the same effect. But remember that you still need medicine to kill the fleas/ticks because pennyroyal wont keep hungry fleas/ticks at bay.

Hmmm. It is hard to tell. but I think that it could eitehr be ticks or fleas. Both of these types of insects tend to stay on animals for a long time. The reason for this interpretation is that because fleas are almost always on dogs, which is why you have to constantly clean them off both the bog and his bed.
The scariest part about them though is that they tend to lay eggs which could also explain why your dog still has them from time to time. This could become a problem for both you and your pet. So the best thing to do is take it to your local vet and see whether or not any treatment is available. After all, it is better to be safe than it is to be sorry.

the pix don't tell me anything. but fleas are brown and more than likely that is what you have.
Hartz won't do the trick.
Fleas are a three stage conquer.
1. the animal infected - with a Good flea killing shampoo or dip
2. the entire household needs to be fogged
3. outside your home
You'll have to do this all again when the laid flea eggs hatch out.
Be Warned - fleas eat tapeworm eggs, then when the pet eats the infected flea- bam, your pet is now infected with a nasty tapeworm that can quickly outgrow your pet from the inside.

Fleas.
Go to the vet and get Frontline or Advantage for puppies. It will kill them.
In the meanwhile- use Joy dish detergent- it will kill them and it will not be irritating to the skin of the pup. You may also try baby shampoo. It's really about drowning the fleas though for whatever reason, lemon scented joy detergent does kill them. Use conditioner after to soothe the skin- and see a vet for a permanent solution.
Vacuum your carpets and empty the bag immediately to avoid re infestation.

Your dog has fleas, dear. Ticks don't jump.
None of that Hartz stuff works. If you want an effective flea control product, get Frontline or one of those "expensive" applications you find at pet stores.

First off the Hartz stuff is crap, and doesn't work, secondly, it looks like fleas (they are brown believe it or not). Take the dog to the vet and get it on something to kill fleas and flea eggs.
