I looks like there is less stress going on in these little islands; do you think that they are happier than us?

People experience stress relative to what their experiences are. What causes stress for you may not cause it for others. If you are used to big city life but find it stressful you may find life on a small island less stressful. But the people who live there still have stress, it just relates to their lives. If you were to take them and put them in your position I would think they would be very stressed. I would like to believe they are all happy and see us as foolish for putting up with so much crap in our lives when we could just be relaxing on the beach somewhere.

not with global warming. Their island might be ankle deep in water 20 years from now. Not a nice thought.

No more or less than we on average. Their stresses may be less, but they still have problems to overcome.
