It is even worse than spilling Mt Dew down your throat.

You can unplug the keyboard and try rinsing and drying it. If you let it sit untreated it is ruined. If you are lucky it will be OK.

If you are inherently sloppy there are plastic glove-like waterproof covers that you can get to cover the keyboard for protection against spills.

If it was DIET Mt. Dew, then you don't have to deal with all the sticky sugar residue after it dries. If it was regular Mt. Dew, I would rinse with water and hope for the best. (Hey, you already got it wet!) If you don't rinse, your keys might all stick!

splling anything is bad .. it might cost the keyboard to go "crazy"
and it might leak the electricity...
in one of the experiment conducted.. it is found that keyboard have more bacteria den toilet bowls~

It isn't a GOOD thing, but it's not a catastrophe.
Keyboards can be washed AFTER they are disconnected.
Make sure you let it dry COMPLETELY before using it.
