Yea, me too. If we say we have money, its actually we don't. So, your parents say that becoz they want to feel secure 'bout money.

Maybe you should coax your parents up to get some money from them, coz they'll not giving ya in easy way. Some offered help will quite do. Patience is a victory way to ask money, ya know. Try it!! :-)

I'm typically not mean on this. But if this is something you complain about, life is going to hit you hard in the face. Have you even thought about what they could be saving up for? Your school perhaps? A new and better home? Their RETIREMENT? I can say this because my own parents have taken money out of their retirement so that we can live in our house but do have consideration for their plans. When they retire, do you want them to be taken care of? Or do you want them to work their lives away because they have no other way of supporting themselves. Seriously, GET OVER IT. I don't know how old you are, but stop looking at what you want now. Their motive right now is to be able to support you. Financial problems are much bigger than you think.
If whatever it is you want still means something to you, ask them what you'd have to do to earn it. Do extra chores, help them with whatever work they need done, find a way to make it look as if you aren't begging.

I think your parents are trying to teach you something. They could be millionaires for all you know but it isn't their job to throw money your way. They tell you they can't afford something because it's either not in their budget, they don't WANT to pay for something, or they think you need to get a job and buy your own things. It's easier to say "I can;t afford it" than to say no and listen to sniveling for an hour about all the reasons they should say yes.

you should appreciate the things that they do for you now like how they provide you with food and they give you a shelter to live under and to be realistic they will not always be there to take care of you so you need to be more dependent on yourself and yes i do get frustrated when my mom do that but i know she is doing that so i know that i will not always be spoiled i only ask her small amount of money when i really need it
