Nobody hates YOU, including those who say they do. They hate only their own ignorance and fear--because hatred is always based on ignorance and fear.

Most reasonable people have no problems with newcomers who live clean and decent lives.

I am sorry to say that we can do nothing about the others, other than to be assured that they are a small and loudmouth minority.

I have no feelings for you at all. How could I? I don't know you.

However, you are an illegal, and what you did was wrong. You think that you haven't hurt anyone by what you have done, but you have.

By coming into our country illegally you have added yourself to so many others who have taken the place of someone doing things in the proper way. By being an illegal you make Americans distrust people who only want to visit their families and deny them visas because we can't be sure that they will leave as promised.

It is a lie that you couldn't get a green card, it just would have taken longer then you wanted. You have put your own needs and wants above others simply because you could get away with it.

No, this country does not have jobs for everyone, hard working Americans across the country have lost their jobs to illegals, because of that they lose their homes and their families too in some cases. All for the sake of rich people getting richer.

I don't blame the illegals for the most part, I blame our government for not dealing with the situation.

I don't believe you and others like you have done anything to earn an amnesty and a green card. Everything you have done was for yourself, your business, your home, even whatever taxes you pay are for your own sake. Illegals often only pay taxes to receive EIC or to prove that they are in the country in hopes of a future amnesty.

Not once have I heard an illegal say they pay taxes because they want a better community.

Hate is a pretty strong word. People use it too often and therefore it has lost its true meaning.

To say that I loath, not hate, illegal aliens that are living in the USA would be not an opinion, but in fact the truth.

To say that I respect a legal immigrant that starts a business and pays taxes would be the truth as well.

I don't think it is a matter of hate.
It is a matter of what is right and what is wrong.
Being here illegally is wrong.
I feel very sorry for people in your position because I know you have NO opportunity to improve your living standards in Mexico, no matter HOW HARD you work.
What needs to change is the Mexican government and the classist, elitist social structure in Mexico.
This situation would improve greatly if the people of Mexico demanded the government institute a functional free enterprise system. That would be a starting point.
Outlaw discrimination. I know, discrimination is human nature, but there is no reason for the government or the law to encourage it.
All people in your situation should not be demanding the U.S.A. be changing its policies to accommodate you, you should be demanding Mexico change so you can be at home with your families and helping Mexico to prosper.

Tamara, Honey, my little redneck cousin gets slammed by the same hatred you mention. But for him, it's from "undocumented entrants". Why!? He's just curious and hungry. He enters homes of "UE's", eats their food, uses their toilets (sure, his aim is a few yards from bullseye), attempts to make babies with their young ones (as well as with family pets), gnaws on their bricks - resulting in brick-bite - but, DANG! he's so hard-working when he does it!!

I guess the world is just a real hateful, nasty place. When will the insensitive, evil crabs in this world just see us for the priceless luvvies we really are?

I don't hate you. There are some ******* who do, but forget that their grandparents probably did the same thing.
However, there are some messed up things too. The gov't will pay for healthcare of illegals, but still does not have universal healthcare for it citizens. It's also not right that English speaking teachers are turned down for jobs in states along the border. Its one thing to want to speak your language at home, it's another to expect it to be taught in schools.
It's a nuanced situation, and some people can't see things clearly. All people who honestly want to be here should be allowed, but you should also do it through the proper channels...

Think for just one moment about what kind of world this would be if every individual simply decided which laws they would obey and which laws they would ignore. If some law is unjust or violates human rights then it should be changed, but until it is we must *all* obey it.

The number of Americans who literally hate illegal immigrants is small compared to those who don't. I'm one of those who don't, but I *do* strongly object to illegal immigrants in this country who *demand* that the law be overlooked just for them and that they be treated better than many Americans.

You and your husband have obviously worked hard and do truly contribute to American society. But at the same time if you are in this country illegally I have no sympathy for whatever fate might befall you.

I do not hate you I think that more people should work as hard as you do. You should become a leaglized citizen though if you are not already. I have just moved to New York from a small town in Missouri and I am thrilled to see so many different people and hear new languages! I think it is facinating!

I don't hate you. My parents are immigrants from South America. Small minded people hate people like you because they are ignorant in the bad way. I would never have any hatred towards any immigrant because they are one. The truth is that a large percentage of our population is made up of immigrants. In other words: without you there would be no us! So you should'nt care what those narrow minded people say, you are worth more than them! You sound like a true AMERICAN.

I don't hate you. It's just a matter of which side of the line you are. The Native Americans also hate every non-Native American, some of whom might hate people like you. So it's a chain reaction. Just be cool and mind your own business. I'm sure the government will do something for people like you. After all, USA is the land of immigrants.

there are plenty of people that do that but then some redneck american comes up and they say THEY TOOK MY JOB! i do not see a problem with this. i know people that do the same thing. there should be a law if you pay taxes and are living and following the law better then the legals then they should get an opportunity to get a green card. but you will still have people coming up and being like YOUR ILLEGAL?? get out of my country now! why? this person is living a good life and is even more american than you are
