I've read about Hoodia (I know you have to get the CERTIFIED kind!) .. and I was just wondering if anyone has used it for weight loss and if it works???
I just had a baby 2 and a half months ago .. and I still have 30lbs of baby weight to lose, I need all the help I can get!

Also, my question is:
does Hoodia speed up your metabolism???? because right now I'm hypo-thyroid. Can I still take Hoodia being Hypo-thyroid (under-active thyroid)
THANKS!

**I'm not breastfeeding anymore.

Probably not well enough to be worth using.

Also you need to find out what the side effects are.

Hoodia does not work by speeding up your metabolism, nor does it have any caffeine or stimulants ( if you purchase pure liquid extract). Hoodia works by tricking your brain into believing that you are not hungry so you don't eat as much.

I take hoodia on and off to stay in control and the one thing that I really like about it is when I am not that hungry I have a tendency to eat just good food and I don't feel like eating any junk at all so I don't feel deprived.

There are many brands of hoodia out there. Most are junk with other additives like green tea or other herbals. I have nothing against green tea and I drink it all the time but if I am paying for hoodia, I want hoodia not green tea. The link below is where I get mine from and I've tried many brands and for me I liked it best.

The only side effect that I have found with hoodia is that like not hungry you also don't get thirsty so you have to plan to be sure to drink enough water.

As soon as your doctor allows be sure that you start to work out also as this will help tone your muscles and help get your belly back into feeling tighter again.

You may also want to keep your belly are moisturized so that the skin will be able to go back to shape a bit better then if you had dry skin. Also try to use gentler body and shower gels on your belly. If you used cocoa butter or vitamin E on your belly while you were pregnant still use it for a few months until your skin feels tight again.

Good Luck & Congrats on the baby!
