For how long?

For maybe at most 5 or 6 days. After that, no.

Applesauce has no nutrients (other than a bit of fibre and a few vitamins) - and if you go with the sweetened stuff all you're getting is sugar.

After a few days, your body will run out of the nutrients it needs to function (about 15 vitamins and about 20 minerals).
Memory loss, dizziness, body aches, heart problems, liver problems, kidney problems, acne, brittle nails and hair, eye damage...a lot of stuff can go wrong if you don't get the nutrition you need.

Yes, but you don't want to just live. You want to thrive and applesauce does not have the nutrients and vitamins your bodies needs to sustain an optumal level of functioning. Its like putting liquer in your gas tank. It'll work, but eventually it will detroy your car. the question is what is your goal. If you are doing it to lose weight then just know that 1st your body will assume you are starving and hold on to more calories decreasing your metabolism which slows down weight loss. And 2nd as soon as you start eating normally you body will hold on to calories until it realizes you aren't starving anymore. In the end you probably gain more than you lost. This is why all diets fail. I suggest a lifestyle change if weight loss (even short term weight loss) is your goal

It is possible but the question is how long. Water is the most important, as you can die in a few days without water. Food you can go longer without. Applesauce will provide some nutrients, but mainly your body runs off fat. This is why you cannot survive off a bunny rabbit either. Protien poisoning. Your body stores fat and calcuim. This is why people get fat or get bigger bones. When your body needs this, it starts burning the fat, or breaking down your bones to get what it needs.

Yes it is possible to live 2 weeks on applesauce and water. The important item is the water. You must drink a lot of it.

I do not recommend it but it is possible.

Absolutely not. It has to be pressure canned. Trying any other method has the chance of being a real mistake. There are recipes for pickled corn but that would be the only way to raise the acid level high enough to can it in a water bath. Freezing would be a better option.

For about 2 to 3 months, yes. If you are very careful. That is about the time it takes for people to starve to death without any food.

You had better add a bit of salt to your diet.

For how long?

Forever?

It would deplete you of vitamins, but you could live that way for a while.

What kind of apples?

Does the variety of apples change, or is it always the same apple sauce?

You could, but it might take two months to get over it. Don't do it, very unhealthy. Your body requires nutrients from all of the food groups all of the time.
