Educationally, its great, socially you MAY have a hard time. I am only a junior in high school, but watch out for perverted older guys, there won't be a lot of people your age (I know, 4 years isnt that bad, but that is just the freshman, there is big jump from 14 to 20) However if you are just taking college courses and still attending high school, then thats fine, but if you are just that age but attending college its different. I am currently taking 4 college courses right now, but they are taught at the high school, but I have also been to real college classes and they are nothing to be afraid of. I hope this helped any.

good luck!

You missed a critical time in your life. I mean this in no disrespect but although you might have the intellectual mind of an 18 year old, you still have the physical and emotional attributes and the maturity of your real age. High school is the transition period between junior high and college. Throwing someone who has had so little experience in being a social teen into a place where teens become adults is tough. Many kids have done it, but it is very diffucult on many levels. Kudos to you in being so intelligent and I wish you the best of luck in College.

Normally it happens everywhere. It is called ragging a rough and tough initiation ceremony of freshman in the college. The coming to a college from highschool is like coming from a pond to an ocean and unless you are properly helped you may feel lost and that feeling may not leave y ou even if you pass through. However,so far as the ragging is good naturely it is OK but of late it has deteriorated to harassment and government have to impose ban on it and even post security guards in colleges.

I'm not addressing all of your questions, but would suggest: 1. developing good study habits, 2. getting the best grades you can, 3. taking part in extra-curricular activities to become a well-rounded person, and, 4. don't beat yourself up over deciding immediately on your life's work . I'm just guessing, but think that you have until the end of your sophomore year in undergraduate school to choose. However, make sure you check the medical school catalog to ensure that you take the pre-requisite courses.

Well there is good and bad. I mean you will be young with your degree and ready to begin your career before others, but that could also be a strike against you, since potential employers will still see a kid.

If the HS Freshman has completed all of his/her HS required classes... not a problem!

It happens every now and then... and shouldn't be a big deal...
