After lots of thinking I've decided I want to move to LA to finish with school, but also to get into acting (film + tv). Originally I was looking at Santa Monica but it doesn't seem like it's located near any of the studios, but is living near the studios even necessary? My biggest question is where is the best place to live for this kind of thing? Burbank?

Burbank, Glendale, Studio City, Van Nuys, Silverlake, Hollywood, N Hollywood, W Hollywood, and Pasadena are the most convenient areas to the studios. It's not necessary to live close to the area, but it will save you some stress and grief not having to be on the freeway so much. Especially if you are single, then you don't have to worry about family neighborhoods and schools, etc. Best of luck.

Burbank, Studio City, and other communities within the San Fernando Valley would be your best bets. However, there really is no "best place" to live if you want to become an actor. One location won't give you a one-way ticket to Hollywood. Just choose somewhere within close proximity to the studios.

Try Studio City or Burbank. LA is so car orriented that it doesn't really matter all that much where you live. I actually prefer the studio city area and have worked there in the past. A nice little community that is built around the entertainment industry.

west hollywood is cool because it's really central . . . if you end up working in burbank, it's not far, but there are other industry related companies all over . . . beverly hills, hollywood, etc and west hollywood is in the middle of it all. it's also a nice area if you don't want to feel like you're in a huge city - very walkable, lots of stores, places to eat, etc.

After that i replaced into satisfied for multiple years. What made me want to bypass away? There are way too a lot of human beings there, the freeways are busy all of the time, the smog is undesirable, there are gangs, riots, fires, floods and worst of all, earthquakes.
