I've always heard that playing the trumpet makes your lungs stronger. Is that true? What are the benefits of strong lungs?

thats right ...anything which makes you deep breathe is good for lungs in certain ways;

1.opens up the small and distant alveoli ( air pockets in lungs where gas exchange between air and blood takes place)...thereby increasing the lung capacity to hold total amount of oxygen

2. it will in the process also remove the spent up gases and will kinda wash the lungs clean.

3.stengthens breathing muscles...(several small muscles on the ribs and in neck)

hope that helps..!!

Your instructor is surely nicely suited. consult from the instructor approximately your regime. I doubt if this is all this is anticipated. I advise 5 minutes heat up precisely as prescribed. 5 minutes on song you're preparing for overall performance. 5 minutes of exciting or well-known. Then do the approach yet returned. constantly end with the exciting or favorites

Playing any wind instrument will keep your lungs functioning at their full potential. So will any cardio exercise. It's beneficial to keep your lungs operating at full capacity so they don't become weakened by pollution or disease. It could very well affect your over-all health over time.

it does build up your lungs, and enables you to hold your breath for a longer period of time. Your body needs oxygen to stay active, the more oxygen your lungs can hold the better for your body...espically if your a swimmer.
