Someone I know who is 'sensitive' called me to ask if I'm alright, just before I caught this damn cold.

Today, they called again, and asked again if I'm alright. Except this time, after I said yes, they asked if I was sure.

Should I start getting paranoid and take extra, EXTRA care?

and by the way, when I said 'sensitive', I mean unusually good at getting total unknown thing right. Intuitive, psychic, receptive...etc. There are a lot of words.

If you buy into the idea, then you will welcome the sickness. Don't let others ideas that create negativity in you, stick around for long. In that sense, they are controlling you. Direct your attention to something else, and assure yourself that you have a healthy body and thats that.

I am very 'sensitive' as you call it and I regularly ring up friends and ask the same question and they answer the same as you. What I usually pick up on is their emotions and also the phone can distort your voice so you dont always need to be sensitive to pick up that for instance a person is tired or feeling fed up. Perhaps your friend is just wondering why you havent phoned her recently, it could be something as simple as that. Dont get paranoid ask them what they know and tell them that if they have something to tell you then they should just come out with it. Get prepared the unknown is usually nothing to be worried about, its just the fear that it brings. Worrying alone will make you ill.

I wouldn't lose sleep over this by any means, but you might keep it in the back of your mind. I'm sure you've heard this before, but you can psychologically make yourself sick. So if you're constantly reminding yourself about this call, then you may make it worse than what it really should be.

If the cold doesn't get better sometime in the next week or so then definitely get it checked out further, but for now just treat it like you would have before the call.

Why not be honest and just tell them "No, I think I'm getting a cold"? Don't go looking for predictions where they don't exist. For someone to be gifted with prophecy, they must be pretty precise and they must never, NEVER be wrong. I think the person was just sensing something and asking out of concern........it doesn't take a genius to sense something's wrong with a friend, or anyone else for that matter.

If I were you I'd be grateful that you have someone who cares enough to keep ringing you,
Think of those who get ill and have absolutley not a soul in the world to ask Are you ok?
So ring them back and say Thank you, for caring

If you're being honest with yourself, then no. If something goes wrong, you'll find out eventually.

There are no psychics. Don't hinge your life on that belief.
