. . . six hundred and thirteen laws found in the Torah establishes a "right".

The commandment against murder establishes our right to life. If God says nobody is allowed to murder anybody else, everybody has the right to life. This is clear, isn't it?

The commandment against theft establishes the right to property ownership. This is clear too, right?

So there are rights . . . and there are wrongs. Every wrong establishes a right. Do you follow so far?

So; homosexuality is not a right. It's a wrong.
Likewise adultery, likewise abortion, same for the rest of the 613 laws in the Torah.

So I don't have to Kowtow to those who put their sin on parade. I have a right to a society and culture free of AIDs and STDs multiplied by those in violation of God's laws.

The government that doesn't arrest violators of God's absolute law is in violation of the law of God. They're not "protecting the rights of homosexuals". Homosexuality is not a right . . . it's a WRONG!

A sin is something that you do when your consciense tells you not too. So anything that you truly know is right, is a "Right". Every wrong establishes a right, it states it strate in the bible. Homesexuality is wrong, but government gives freedom. This freedom keeps you from being persucuted for your beliefs.

Wow! You're very insightful! I never thought of it that way! People don't think beyond their own selfish, sinful desires, thinking that it is only affecting themselves. God not only gave the law for the community and nations but also for individuals because what one of us does really does affect the rest of us!

Rights are natural. They come from existience.

It is said that God gave man rights. However this was Lockes expression of the above prinicpal.

Not from a book put together haphazardly. But from a philosopher.

I disagree with the very premis that rights come from God. The rest of the argument is useless after that.

Society gives us rights. We give ourselves responsibility not to infringe upon those rights. If you believe your responsibility to honor those rights come from somewhere outside yourself, then you aren't really a moral person.

If you follow a rule just because you fear punishment, you are not excersicing morality.
