The scientific method is the process whereby a hypothesis is tested using controlled experimentation to determine fact.

A well-educated scientist will readily tell you that there is no such thing as a "scientific theory". That is an oxymoron. If it's a theory, it is not a scientifically proven fact. If it is science, i.e. if it has been demonstrated by way of the scientific method to be fact, then it is not theory.

Some theories cannot be tested. "God created the heavens and the earth" is just such a theory. Because it cannot be tested, it cannot be proven to be fact.

Another untested theory is evolution. I was dissuaded from my evolutionary views in a college genetics class 34 years ago. DNA is an information system. No new information is ever added to the DNA code. Mutations are able to re-arrange what information is there, but will never result in an increase in the information available from which biological structures are formed. Evolution did not happen because it CANNOT happen.

Since evolution cannot happen, all biologic organisms arose by some other method.

Because I cannot prove or explain by scientific fact the origin or complexity of living organisms, I can only believe as the preponderance of evidence persuades me.

Thus I believe in God.

I believe much like John Clayton, a science teacher, former member of the Madeline Murray O'Hare organization and now a gospel preacher for the chruch of Christ.

I am a member of the church of Christ, therefore I am not a denomination member. I am not a member of the anti-catholic church from which the denominations originated.

John's -Modified Gap Theory and theistic evolution can be found here:
http://www.bible.ca/tracks/b-john-clayton-does-god-exist.htm

Many more of the things I believe and he teaches can be fourn here: http://www.doesgodexist.org/

John believes in the Gap- that many scientists agree with today. That is the time not talked about in the Bible.

Honest science is what is spoken about in the Bible and I believe the Bible is true and all that deny it are as the Bible says, liars.

3-Science does not conflict w/ my faith because science is fact faith is faith. And fact comes first in the dictionary for a reason.

Science is basically an educated guess.

Particularly when you get into how the earth was formed.

Scientist can't even answer simple questions such as which came first, the chicken or the egg?

So I do not put all of my faith in man, because man only knows part of the story, they do not know the full story.
