We have moved a lot over the years and used all the big names, Mayflower, Nationwide, etc. Our last move was a local in Maryland to move us to Delaware. The big difference with the big names is the only people who actually work for the company drive the truck. The people they have come in to pack are day workers. We have lost things. The local out of Maryland are people who all work for the company and have for years. They are vested into the company and nothing disappears, everything is packed very well, and there was little to no breakage. My suggestion is call your local realtors and find out who the best larger local concerns are. Interview them and find out who works for them and how long people stay with them. These are the moving companies who will take the best care with your home both in packing and moving.
