Try www.therosedress.com. I got mine there for $98 (in the formal section rather than the wedding section). Do follow the measurements to figure size rather than ordering the size you usually wear. I found their service to be top-notch. The dress arrived in perfect condition, perfectly pressed, is well made, and looked better in person than on the website. The website is a little awkward to use, but it's worth the effort. I found dresses for as little as $24.

Check your local paper, or a consignment shop. At times people have dresses there and weren't ever worn because the wedding didn't work out, so they want to get rid of their memories cheap! You could also get a nice white dress and if you want it to be a little fancier, see if a local seamstress could add a bit of glitz/glam.

Hi:
The easiest way is simply to go into a bridal store. That way you can try things on. All bridal stores have dresses that you can buy "off the rack." Some stores even have "clearance" gowns. It's worth a try.
If no luck, then try JCPenney - here is the link. There is even one for $69 on here!
http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/productlist.aspx?deptid=597&pcatid=39907&catid=41299&cattyp=lfs&dep=women%27s&cat=wedding+dresses&refpagename=CategoryAll%252Easpx&refdeptid=597&refcatid=39907&cmAMS_T=U3&cmAMS_C=C3&CmCatId=597|MP|bridalshop|39907
You can also check Ebay and Target,

Read the reviews for Target, though, I don't think they are available immediately....I believe you do have to order them.
Good luck!

think outside the square & look at all sorts of gowns - evening/party as your "'wedding dress"" is that because it is waht you have chosen to wear for the occassion
find something that reflects your personality & that you will feel comfortable wearing
