First of all, congratulations on finding such a wonderful and unattached man! :-) I think that you can ask him flat out if he's interested in taking it to the next level, even though you initially agreed not to. If he disagrees with you, then just try a lot harder to get another job.

But wait. Are you waiting until you're done with working there because your company has a policy about fraternizing with other employees? Or is it because he's your boss? Because I wouldn't want you guys to run the risk of him being denied for his Sherrif's exam because he was terminated from his present job due to your affair. So if that's the case, then you guys WILL have to wait.

I know it's hard to hold off, but it might be worth it. If your company has no problems with you guys dating, then I would go for it. But remember that once you introduce sex into a relationship, things are going to get much more complicated!

You may hate to hear this...but your boss is right and you should wait. Nothing spells trouble than a relationship between a boss and a worker. Not that you may not be right for each other, but you need to look at it from a business point of view. In the workplace it's all about perception and if one person percieves that you are getting treated nicely or special because you are the boss's girlfriend then he may not have to worry about waiting to take the sheriff exam, he will need to take it because he could be fired. I know it may seem like forever, but the worse thing to do is put your career in jeopardy because of love. Be patient and give it time, the rewards will be well worth the wait...

If the relationship is meant to happen and he wants it, then it will still happen when one of you get out of their current position. Be patient and in the mean time have a secret affair outside of work, no one has to know do they? :)

Oh, you women are usually pretty crafty at finding a way. Just come out and tell him you're tired of waiting and see how he takes it. Good luck.

That is stupid! You don't sleep where you eat! Find another job first.
