Some of the longer cables I have seen are close to $200 each! I am all about quality and "getting what you pay for". My concern is that with cables there may not actually be any advantage in spending the extra cash.

Cheap cables frequently work fine at the shorter lengths. At 25' I'd spend a bit more to get better wire gage & plating. Especially if you are burying it in walls.

Wire diameter goes up as its number goes down. 22 gage is a bigger wire than 26 gage. If everything else is equal, bigger wire (lower gage #) conducts signals better.

The places I've linked to have a reputation of for having good products at fair prices. Even their best cable is a lot less than $200 for 25 feet.

Over spending for a cable is a common concern. But quality is going to vary by cable, equipment, and application. If you have ever heard Flapjack say to use his 10% rule to start, he's right. Next you need to try out the better cables and see if you can tell the difference and if you want to pay for what you see. There is no tell all for cable performance. The only problem I see, is with that long a distance ( which component would have no problem with) you may need a fiber optic link. Try SEVERAL cables out to get the best match.

the longer the cable the larger the gauge and/or insulating/sheilding qualities. therefore your price will increase. if you are going 25ft+ you should get the best cables you can afford, there will be alot of interference to contend with.

Try best buy, they have all that kinds of stuff and they will help you find the best deals, and if you find the same exact thing somewhere else and have written proof they will give it to you for the cheaper price.
