no.. it's not been proven.. but you can always try it.. did you know that one tube of frontline lasts 3 months against fleas? That means that for about $40, you get 9 months of flea--free fun.. this does not apply to ticks, though.

In my experience, the only people who think garlic works to kill fleas are the people who don't recognise a flea infestation unless they're actually being bitten to bits.
Don't fall in to the trap of trying cheap alternatives to proper flea treatment The last lady I knew who did that had a £140 bill to treat her cat for toxicity - would've been cheaper to go with the proper stuff in the first place. And her cat still had live fleas, even though it was nearly dead. Usual story.
Get some Frontline Plus, you only have to use it every 2 months on a dog, which is probably cheaper than a 2 month supply of garlic, which I hear you have to feed every day or something.

specific it relatively is meant to artwork and that i understand multiple people who have used it for years. the belief is that the fleas and ticks do no longer in straightforward terms like the garlic style from the blood and as a result drop off. extra appropriate to apply as a preventative relatively than a therapy for heavy infestation. i might plenty relatively provide my canines garlic than some thing like frontline, although, you will additionally study that garlic is poisonous to canines, and with too plenty then it actually may be. All i will say is that i understand those with very healthy older canines who've given them garlic all their lives and no different flea therapy.

It wont kill them, but it makes the blood taste bad, so they don't hang about long! Garlic CAN be toxic to dogs, so make sure you only use a tiny amount. But remember the fleas LIVE in your home, not on the dog, and only chemicals will KILL.

Its one of those things that really hasn't been proved. Some people swear it works, others not so much. Really, I would try to invest in a good flea preventive. Its expensive, but it usually has a four month supply. So, when you break it down, its not really that much in the long run and will help keep your dog from other more expensive health problems.

It doesn't kill the fleas. It just makes the dog unpalatable to them. But it takes a lot of garlic on a regular basis.

Putting garlic juice (or tea) in the dogs food will help, but it won't totally stop fleas. Flea shampoo formulated for dogs will work much better.
