I went to open up a bank account today and they stated that they couldn't because of something on my credit report. Obviously, this is not good, although, I had just opened up an account at another bank prior to this. Have you ever had to deal with or heard of Chex Systems? How quickly will they get your report to you, once you have applied online?

Chex systems means you have either bounced a check that hasn't been cleared up yet or you closed a bank account that was negative. The bank should have given you a 800 number to call and find out whats going on.

Chex systems came into play because many people would open a checking account overdraw and instead of paying the overdraft with fines, would just walk away and open a new account somewhere else. The only way to get your name removed from there is to find out what bank you owe fees to, and pay those fees.
