the land of the brave and free. a beautiful country where people can get along as long as everyone is legal when coming here.
what is your view?

Right now. 1) we need to close our borders for 5 years.
2) Set 1 term term limits on ALL political positions.
3) Have a MAJOR reform of all laws, eliminating the STUPID ones that are made when 1% or less of the population is offended about something.
4) Get the tax code right.
5) set SS back to the way it was BEFORE 1960, when it was making a profit and supporting itself BEFORE the Congress decided that the profits where spendable on everything else.
6) Pass a law that NO PRODUCT that can be made in the USA can be undersold by a out of country company and that NO US company can set up shop in foriegn countries to lower their cost while keeping the same prices.
And thats for starters. Heck, we might need 10 years without outside interference or immargration for that.

In 1942, Yamamoto reputedly described America as a "sleeping giant" stired to wrathful weakefulness by Pearl Harbor. Considering the response America has mustered to 9/11, and the ongoing invasion of millions of illegals, I would have to say that the giant is comotose, if not actually dead.

A country that is made up of all nationaities and political belifes, that although there maybe problems we are able to come together as one in order to ptrotect ourselves. We may have a lot of problems, but in the end we are a strong nation blessed with cultures from around the world.

It is still the greatest country on earth...despite the strife....despite the dividedness...despite a lot of things.
Millions of people envy us. Millions want to be one of us.
My view? I still get a tear in my eye on the 4th of July.

Smoggy, littered, too populated. Too little honesty. Full of irresponsible people. Too many prisons, full of prisoners who are good for nothing in this world. Too much government, corruption, misuse of funds.
Sorry to be so negative but here in CA, we have a lot of problems. I miss the southern states. This is turning into Mexico.
