Our government is the biggest supporter of illegals - they are not against them at all.

Green card soldiers have green cards. They are not here illegally, they just aren't citizens yet.
UPDATE
http://immigration.about.com/od/usgreencardsaos/f/greencard.htm
A green card is a life-long visa ("pass") allowing a foreigner to live and work in the United States. The card itself is a government-issued plastic i.d. card that serves as proof of this permanent resident status in the United States. In size and format, it generally resembles a driver's license.
The official title of the card is "Permanent Resident Card" and as it so happens, the card is not green. The nickname may have come from the symbolic nature of the color green in the United States: Green has come to mean "go," as it does on a traffic light.
Beware: A green card is not citizenship. A green card can be revoked if a person does not maintain permanent residence in the United States, travels outside the country for too long, or breaks certain laws.
UPDATE
Can foreign-born American citizens join the Military?
Yes. U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Aliens (people who have an INS I-151/I-551 "Green Card") may join the U.S. Military.

One - The article that you used to illustrate your point is about AN US CITIZEN in the military. His wife entered the US legally as a refugee and the wedding created issues with her status. The situation is a travesty and I hope it is resolved.
Two - Illegal aliens can not join the military. However someone that has entered the US legally can, and someone can get a green card for the purpose of joining the military.
People are less likely to call you names if you read your sources first.

"Gonzalez himself entered the country legally, crossing the Mexican border with his family when he was about 10. He joined the Navy as a so-called "green-card sailor" and became a U.S. citizen in July 2005. The military does accept some immigrants who aren't U.S. citizens"
Apparently you can't read or at least comprehend what you are reading. He came legally when he was 10 (TEN). He wasn't given a green card for joining the military cause obviously you can't join the military at the age of TEN.

Illegal immigrants can not join the military.
Legal immigrants as well as documented workers can, but must apply for and be granted citizenship before their first re-enlistment.
Learn some facts before you spout off.
{edit} Learn to read, the military member in your article is not an illegal alien.

Because having cannon fodder and workers for the capitalist system is more important than stopping illegal immigration to those in power.

You are wrong. The military does NOT allow illegals to join. They allow LEAGAL non citizen green card holders to join and there for earn their citizenship. In this case the sailor in the article entered in to the country legally:
"Gonzalez himself entered the country legally, crossing the Mexican border with his family when he was about 10. He joined the Navy as a so-called "green-card sailor" and became a U.S. citizen in July 2005. The military does accept some immigrants who aren't U.S. citizens"
The wife, however, enetered ILLEGALLY, and voided her oppturnity to become a legal citizen when she married her husband:
"In Gonzalez's case, his wife, Mildred, came to the United States with her mother in 1989 when she was 5 years old. They were granted political asylum because of their status as war refugees from Guatemala.
In September 2000, Mildred's mother applied for legalization and included her daughter in that application. Her mother was granted legal status in July 2004, according to Gonzalez.
However, six weeks earlier, Gonzalez and Mildred got married, canceling Mildred's ability to apply for legal status through her mother because she was no longer an unmarried daughter under the age of 21. As a result, her legal status still remains in jeopardy."
You need to read a little better.

They dont...as most people here have pointed out to you. Your link had NOTHING to do with an illegal immigrant in the military whatsoever.
No Child Left Behind....clearly left one.

we already know this. those are the ones who deserve to stay here. they are fighting for a country they want to call home. they are the immigrants who want to help continue to build this country better then what it is today. if they are given the green card they are not illegals. so don't call them illegal again.

An illegal person can not join the military. A resident alien can and must register with the selective service when he is immigrated.

i am sorry but aparently you are unaware of the situation in govt right now. if you actualy watch all the people in government and what they are saying, no one is agreeing. the individual states and towns are either for or agianst illegal immigration, and even on that leval of govt they are disagreeing and flip flopping on their decisions. so the reason you are seeing one action and hearing the oposite promise is because no one is agreeing right now on the grand scale of our govt. for the time being its chaos, maybe the next president will fix that but who knows at this point.
