Fasting is too hard to cope with sometimes and I find myself just getting so annoyed and really disliking fasting because I want to eat. Other days I love fasting so much because I really enjoy my food and feel so thankful. I just feel that I'm not fasting properly because of these thoughts of wanting to quit and disliking it. Sometimes I just can't appreciate it when I'm so hungry! Is this a problem?

You can appreciate it by eating a nice, big, greasy cheeseburger! Only a fool would follow such religious nonsense. You NEED food to live. Does your god not understand this???

A time to acquire Taqwa.

Taqwa = God Consciousness so we feel we are in the presence of ALLAH all the time.

This state of communion and personal connection is developed through the 5 times a day prayers and the blessings of fasting in this very holy month when the Quran was revealed.

When we feel we are living as in the sight of Allah then we will be motivated to do good and ward off evil.

During Ramadhan we make special intentions to fast all day and worship most of the night.

Make intentions to remember all the Muslims and non Muslims in our prayers. We have been sent as a mercy unto mankind and keeping the heart clean of all darkness is paramount.

That is the greatest Jihad .

Fasting helps make the spiritual side of us STRONGER than the base desires.

The real enjoyment of fasting comes when you only eat very little the whole month.

You will feel a calmness come over you and a constant peace .

Then you will enjoy all the salaat, zikr etc much much more.
.

I agree with me me, it is normal to want to eat, but it is only for one month. When you find yourself hungry pray or read, do something to keep your mind off it, you could even take a nap. But we are so far into Ramadan I would think you're stomach would have shrunk to the point where you're no longer hungry during the day. Maybe that's just me?

It's normal to want to eat. The purpose of fasting is not only to think of the poor, but also to humble yourself and give up your desires for Allah. It's only 1 month, pray 2 rakats when you’re feeling weak or read the Quran. Good luck.

Salaamu alaikum,
You can make sure that you look at those who are less fortunate than you. For instance, when you see the homeless people in the street, they don't have the luxuries that you have. At the end of the day, when you break your fast, you can eat whatever you want most of the time. Others are not so fortunate. That's the way I see it anyway.

What you need to do is eat A LOT of food before fasting... I'm not Muslim, but I think you should try eating a lot before hand so you wont get hungry as much... ALSO, try to take your mind off of it.

Fasting is supposed to remind people with those who are poor, hungry, and needy. I tried it myself several times. My best way to cope is to keep busy doing stuff that matters & rewarding! (I tend to do more reading than usual)

HOnestly, dont listen to what that other guy said, it's the same god you believein, dummy, you should think of those people who don't have anything, ever. you should be greatful and think, the few years you spend here, if done correctly, can give you an eternity in paradise.

don't think about food or
think about the reason of doing the Ramadan: remember that there are poor people who never have the money to buy food so they are always hungry.

I hope this Will work to don't think about eating
