why is my hair ALWAYS stiff after a shower?

After a shower my hair is always stiff...even if I use conditioner. It's so bad that I can NOT run my fingers through my hair! What is causing my hair to be so difficult to brush? Does anyone know of a really good deep conditioner that works? I have tried ALOT of products but none seem to help..well just temporarily. HELP!!!!!!!!

biolage hydratherapy works great! use a deep conditioner, one that u leave in for a while, and then rinse it out. Also try leave in conditioners. and if u add any heat to ur hair through the use of flat irons or blow dryers etc... make sure u always use a heat fortifying cream!

Wash your hair with cold water and use a detangle spray like pantene pro-v I have the same problem because I have hard water and have dyed my hair so much it's fried but when I use the detange spray I can run my fingers right through it

Try to change shampoos. They have just as much of an effect on you hair as conditioners. And use a softening or detangling conditioner.

it seems to me that you have very tuff thick hair. conditioner alone may not be enough. one thing that i have done because i too have had this problem is to use hair oils. im not sure of a good brand but they sell many differnt types at cvs that all use similar ingrediads. try one of those it worked for me.

Try Ionil rinse. It makes my hair so soft I stopped using it so it may do the job for you.
