Wait a minute....

Which part of "illegal" didn't you understand?

I suppose "rapist," "murderer," "career criminal," "felon" and other such illegal actions deserve special attention? If anyone breaks the law by acting illegally there are consequences assigned to their actions.

If you want the law changed to allow everyone to walk in and out of the US at will, you have the right to attempt to get a Bill through Congress, Lobby politicians, hold a rally, send out an email or even ask a question. But until the law is changed her status is still illegal despite all the bleeding hearts among the poppies along the byways of America.

g-day!

1. He is not an officer. He's a Petty Officer. That means he is an enlisted man.
2. His main assignment is as a helicopter mechanic. He's not a Navy Corpsman or Seabee out in Al Anbar Povince.
3. His wife is not responsible for her initial status as an illegal alien, since she entered the U.S. as a small child.
4. She exercised a good deal of stupidity by getting married before her status could be legalized under the petition filed by her mother.
5. That is not the fault of the U.S. government. She is an illegal alien.
6. Some Member of Congress will probably come to the rescue and pass a Special Bill in Relief to grant her U.S. citizenship. It will probaby be a Democrat who will use the occasion to make a Special Orders speech in the House and attempt to blame President Bush.
BTW, as long as this sailor is married to an illegal alien his chances of getting a security clearance above "Rumor-Modified Handling" is completely out of the question. The same applies to any chances he may have in getting a commission from the ranks.

Once you make one exception then you will have to make more. Just because you are in the military doesn't mean you or your dependents are above the law.

Sorry that it has to be that way but she can apply for a visa and maybe will get it granted by time he gets back.

Seems like certain people in the govt have broken many laws and they can't give our troops special consideration?

Yeah, who doesn't support their morale now. Also, gotta pinch pennies for the help.

This story makes me very angry, more proof that the government does not give 2 cents about our soldiers or the humanity that inside them. This man is a patriot fighting for his country (right or wrong) and they are going to deport his wife? They should be made citizens ASAP! this story is more proof that the people who represent us are the real terrorist!
