THERE IS THIS STRAY DOG THAT COMES AROUND MY HOUSE AND I HAVE SEEN DEAMON X MANGE B4 ON A DOG AND I AM PRETTY SURE THE DOG HAS IT THE YHUMANE SOCITY WILL NOT COME GET HIM AND I CANT AFFORD TO TAKE A DOG THAT IS NOT MINE TO THE VET HOW CAN I HELP THIS POOR LITTLE GUY ATLEAST MAKE HIM NO SO ITCHY

DEMODEX. There are other things that look like mange...including the easier to treat SARCOPTIC mange.
If you cannot afford the dog, take it to a shelter. Or call dog control..also known ad the "dog catcher"...they HAVE to come and get the dog if it is running free.

If the pound will not come and get him and YOU can't take him to them, do you have non-profit organizations near you? If they could take him... or perhaps they know of other resources that you are not aware of. There sometimes are vets and rescues that take on animals like your stray, but they are not publicly known. If he indeed has this type of mange, it will take multiple medicated baths and maybe antibiotics if he has started a secondary infection. The mange is caused by mites and an anti-itching cream will not stop the problem and are expensive themselves. Try calling the vet, doggie daycares, pound, look in the phone book ect and start working the phone numbers up for the non-profits. Look on the web also. Check out petfinder.com for some in your area and call them. Someone will come forward. Good luck!

demodex mange is a mage that stays in the dogs system and never rally goes a way the dip for it is expensive and it would have to have several dips to get it undercontrol. it may have sarcoptic mange which is much easier to treat. why can't you take the dog to them?

Call animal control and tell them that you have a stray... Tell them you have kids and you are worried about the dog. Tell them if they don't help you will contact someone who will check into the problem..

why don't you call a couple of vets and tell them the situation,most vets are animal lovers and may offer help.
