what's the best way to handle a girl who answers her phone on a date? Someone told me that if she uses the phone, take it from her and turn it off and to say you're with me. you can live for 4 hours without talking to your friends. another friend said that if she talks on the phone, don't call her and ask her out again. if she asks why, tell her she seemed more interested in her phone then me. what do you guys recommend? I have a date soon with a girl and I feel this might be a problem. there's no phone call she can't skip, I just don't want her talking 2 her friends when I'm entertaining her. what do I do if she starts talking?

Here's what you do.within 30 minutes or an hour on your date,if she gets a phone call:see what her response to her caller will be(the right thing for her to do is to put it on vibrate before your guys went out).If she tell the caller"I'll give you a call later"then it's acceptable but if she keep on answering her phone while on a date with you,IT IS TOTALLY RUDE!!!
If you happen to have your cell phone on you(which I hope you had on vibrate, cause you know better,lol)...........................
WALK A FEW FEET AWAY AND CALL HER ON HER CELL TO LET HER KNOW THAT SINCE THE EVENING IS NOT GOING VERY WELL,DUE TO THE LACK OF CONVERSATION GOING ON WITH THE DATE YOU ARE WITH(which is her so she'll knows, whom you speak of),YOU ARE READY TO GET BACK HOME.

Don't take her phone away. That would be too rude and controlling.

If you do ask her out again and this happens again, sit in motionless silence until she gets off of the phone. Do not move or speak until she gets off the phone and asks what is wrong with you. Then tell her that you were just waiting on her to get off the phone so she could focus her attention on your date. Ask her if the call was an emergency. When she says no, tell her that you think it was rude to interrupt your date to answer her phone. If she apologizes and truly acts sorry, continue the date. If she acts offended, it's time to end the date and lose her number.

First of all, what ever you decide to do, don't take the phone away from her and turn it off. That is rather rude, more so, I think than having a phone conversation on a date. The truth of the matter is there might be a call she can't skip. What if a friend or family member has an accident. Wouldn't you want to know if something like that happened? I would suggest, that, especially for a first date, don't make it a problem unless it becomes one. If she does take numerous phone calls during the date, it might tell you something about the potential of the relationship. Don't go into it expecting the worst, however.

I say while you are at dinner, if she is on the phone then you use your cell phone to call her and tell that stupid B to get off the damn phone.

Of course if you are dating someone who uses the phone while you are on a date well then she is probably gonna be nothing but a giant pain in the A for the rest of the relationship.

Best thing to do is put up with it, take her home do your thing and never call her again.

This is tough, She probably is a great girl. I have many friends who even when they go out with me they talk on thier cellphone. It is one of the Rudest things a person can do. If she starts talking on it in front of you. Politely Get up and use the restroom and take a breather, this is just so you dont snap and say anything mean, also so you dont stare while shes being rude. Then when you get back to the table, and she is off the phone, say (Name), I would really appreciate it if you wouldnt talk on your cellphone during the times we hang out, it would mean a lot to me. Then ask...Do you understand where im coming from?

Good Luck!

I really wouldn't ask out someone again who was so rude on a date. And yes, if she asks why, be honest. How else are these rude people going to learn? If your next date wants to talk on her phone instead of being with you, I would end the date and take her home immediately. Cut your losses.

absolutley DO NOT remove someones phone from thier hands and shut it off! That is very controlling....I do agree its rude but that is taking it to far. If she is that impolite don't go out with her again. Even though its rude, people are cell phone obsessed these days. Today Im in the gas station and there is a man walking around inside talking on his phone Very loudly and cussing...That aggravates the tar out of me! I hate to say this but your either going to have to get over it or ask her nicely if she could take the call after dinner...

Man that would be really rude - especially in a new dating relationship. I think you need to decide if you want to even date such a person. I highly disagree with taking the phone from her, that is just rude and you don't want to be rude also.

I think I would get up and leave the area. I mean really make it noticeable that you are offended. Go to the bar and sit there until she comes and gets you and then say, "I just wanted to be polite enough to give you privacy I assume it was an urgent call and you HAD to take it" - - if she doesn't get the hint I think I would move on to the next girl.

I encounter this with my lover- so it isn't just men who encounter this. I usually find something too - I pull out a book, make my own phone call, or wander off.

But if were a first date, I would after the first phone call say - "please turn your phone off until our date is finished" - if she answers the phone- say goodbye - date over.

leave.
leave her with the bill.
leave her to find her own way home.

take her far away (at least 50 miles) for the date.

next time she wants to use her phone on a date she'll make sure it's an emergency.

leave and do a favor for the next guy she goes out with.
