Just take it in your stride. Don't give any of them a come on single. Be cool. Don't do any thing you might regret. Remember you're a teacher and nothing else. Discourage any unwanted advances.Be true to yourself. Those jail cells are mighty cool. Don't risk your career for a moment of pleasure. By all means never, never be alone with any of them.

If you have developed a good relationship with any of the other male teachers on the staff, I would ask them or even your supervisor on how to handle the situation. Every school is different. And, I would think that the sooner you alert the rest of the staff to the behavior and what you are doing to avoid any conflict, the better you will be protected in your position in the event one of the students unfortunately chooses to use this situation against you. It's probably not a bad idea to limit your solo interactions with them. Make sure your door is always open so again there is less opportunity for problems; or hold any type of individual meetings in a public place where you can be seen, such as a media center or hallway.

It's typical for teenage girls to try out their sexual appeal on slightly older men in positions of authority. You can't allow yourself to be compromised. Don't be alone, and leave doors open at all times a female comes to you for help. Don't engage in personal dialogues. Report any issues you have with a girl, like someone trying to touch you, phone call or leave you notes. Be cool and professional, even standoffish if you have to be. Remember, no matter if a girl is 15 or 18, it's illegal for a teacher to have a relationship with a student. We have a coach here going to jail for a fairly long stretch because he had an affair with a girl. Keep dialogue with administration about any problem students since it's not unusual for a girl to falsely accuse a teacher of something. If you mentioned a problem student prior to a false accusation, people will believe you more.

You can tell them your married, or mention something about a girlfriend casually in class. "My girlfriend was helping me go over some of your homework and was really impressed with some of your answers" some junk like that. Nothing good ever comes out of the teacher who gives in. We had one in my school stated "seeing" a 18 year old student and was first fired, then constantly harrassed about it.
Make it a point to indicate that your not interested, and that any kind of "strange" behavior wont be allowed. Never hug a girl you know is diggin on you.

Don't be too friendly towards the girls I guess. You're in a sticky situation...I know how teenage girls are ~_~ You just have to act like a teacher with them. Tell them right away if any of them tries to be "too friendly" with you, a nice "behave, [female student name]" would do. Put a picture of your girlfriend on your desk too, to deter some unwanted attention. If you don't have a g/f, just any pic of a more mature woman =D.
Good luck!

Tell your students that it is not acceptable for you to have a close relationship with them. If they're 15-18 then they should understand that you're their teacher and not there for anything else. Another thing what subject do you teach?

I am female and student taught 16-18 year olds. They boys were always coming up to me and putting their arms around me (since I am pretty short). I just rolled with it and used it to get them to study harder. If the boys said they liked me, I would say that if they really liked me, they would get an A on their assignments... I also made sure that I was never alone with a student. I didn't lead them on but let them get away with a little more if it meant they would come to class.

Make sure that you never are alone with any student with a closed door. You can't do anything about school girl crushes, you can keep it from becoming anything else. They are still children and you are in a position of authority.

First thing you need to do is tell your boss, principal, whatever, and ask for guidance in handling the situation, and DOCUMENT it. Remember, if its not on paper, it didnt happen.
Reporting the problem now will make your boss feel empowered and prideful, not that it will help much, but they will feel kept in the loop and they will also be stuck defending you later on because they "told you to do it. " in regards to whatever advice they offer.
As far as the students, find their leader. Talk to her and tell her that youd prefer that her group not make the comments and tell her that you worry it could cost you your job later. They will then either keep it to themselves and just "eye bang" you, or they will get semi pissy about it, but either way it stops the bleeding so to speak.

Stop being good-looking, funny, and nice? I guess all you can do is distance yourself from your students, which sucks. I hate when teachers do that, but it might work. :(
Maybe wear a ring on your left hand... it worked for my friend.
