I have asked a similar question before bout my sister and hr drug problem, Now my main foucus is her kids . Instead of helping them she just is bring them down with her. What do i need to do get custody of them? Either me or my parents .Shes not in the right state of mind of able to take care of them.I know my parents are scared to try anything cuz she gets violent and is always threating them. But im not scared of her what can i do. Does anyone know of any attorneys that could help? Or how i get started, I know i can call child services but im scared they might take them into foster care. and the worst part shes very manipulitive and a lier the biggest one you can be and i knw she will make it hard !! HELP

Get child protective services involved. You will have to become licensed foster parents in order to get them yourselves but if you are that concerned you will do it.

The liar part goes with drug use, they even lie to themselves. You need to prove that she has a problem with drugs; has she ever been arrested? Call a few attorneys and see if they would be interested in taking on the case. If she is using crack, PCP, or meths she can get very violant, and that is a strong point for your case as well. this could put the children in danger. Service try to put kids with family members when ever poss able, so if placed with foster care it will only be for a short period of time until they check you or the parents out.

My family was in the same position with my sister. Is the father of the children in their life? If he is he would have a better chance of getting the kids than you would. All you have to do is get a lawyer and take her to Court to prove that she is an unfit parent. You will have to have proof that she is using drugs and is unable to take care of the children and most likely your parents will have to testify to that. Child Services will be involved when she has her children taken away. There is no way to determine if the court will give the kids to you.

As a mother i can honestly say that at the beginning i would hate you for doing it, but once clean i would realise that you are the best sis for looking out for my kids. Speak to a family att, quick, check y pages but do something to protect the children for exposure to this. As a family stand as 1, as she will say & do anything to divide and conquor you.

Contact an attorney in your state and look into getting a guardianship of the children.

go to the local courthouse and file emergency temporary custody and explain ti them why your diong it...its best if u can get the kids in your care before u do it though without letting your sister know what your really trying to do

contact your local family nad children services and you can also talk to someone in probate court or get a lawyer
