buy a shampoo for lice to kill them, then ask someone to take them out of your head

Don't worry, you don't have to cut all your hair off!
Go to your local drugstore, CVS, Walgreens, etc, and find an over the counter product. Most of the time it is a kit in a box that includes a special shampoo, and a very very very fine comb. The special shampoo kills the lice immediately. Its the best way to go, even if you have poofy thick hair. Also make sure to sanatize your sheets, pillows, jackets, etc. You can do this by washing them,or if they are not washable place them in a black trash bag and put them in a freezer for a few days. The freezer works well for pillows.

good luck!

Do not cut your hair it will not get rid of the lice, try headrin it is available in chemists. It will kill the living lice then repeat the process few days later as the eggs will of hatched an then the newly hatched lice will die to. Any other family members an friends should check there hair to as its a waste of time an money if all people with lice ain't treated.....

You don't have to cut your hair off! lice bugs get down under your scalp. definately treat your hair with rid then use to comb that comes with it or you may have to get someone to help you pull them out from your hair. 2 weeks after that treatment...treat it again to make sure that they are all dead.Getting them dead is the main thing. it will take time to get them all out but thats what you are gonna have to do. the nits will stay but that doesnt mean they are alive. don't go to a hairstylist because it is against state board tfor them to work on a client with lice. You definately need to wash your sheets and any clothes you wore in hot water. i would buy the rid spray for furniture and carpet. I would shampoo the carpet also if you have any. don't use other ppls combs or brushes, share hats, helmets, or anything of that sort..lice starts in the nape of the kneck so if you ever start getting itchy alot there then I would have someone check you in the future to get rid of them before they get that bad again.

There are over-the-counter treatments that you can use but I suggest going to a hair dresser if your hair is that long and thick. It will be a chore for sure. Make sure you don't pass them along to others. If you got them in school, let someone know so they can track down the person who is spreading them.

first and foremost, go to Walgreen's and get Rid x for lice and then consult a doctor, I use the hospital nurse line in my home town and they've saved me a lot of time and money. GoodLuck

I would go to your doctor and ask him about some prescription strength shampoo. If that doesn't work, try using Mayo. You have to put it in your hair with a bag over your head for an hour or so. :)

You need to get rid of them ASAP!! Don't think it will just solve itself. It is highly contagious and it's not fair to give it to the rest of us because you are lazy.

You don't need to get your hair cut to get rid of lice. Just use the shampoo, remove ALL the eggs, and wash all clothes and bedding.

Just keep combing your hair out. Over & Over again.
Using A hairdryer really hot all over your head used to get rid of mine when I was younger, after using the Headlice lotion..

I know this sounds gross but get some mayo not mircle whip but mayo and put it all in your hair. leave it for a few hours then once you rinse it out get a nit pick and it will be easier than before to get them out because mayo is greasy so they just slide out for you.
