I've heard so much bad things about the nursing field, like being overworked and underpaid. I'm wondering if they(nurses) had a second chance, would they have chosen a different career path.

I have been through various experiences as a nurse....
satisfying - disgusting, uplifting - heartbreaking, full of laughter - full of tears, discouraging - inspiring ......all the different emotions and experiences you will definitely encounter as a nurse.

However, whatever ups and downs had happened, still I would choose to be a nurse again. Sometimes along the practice of your profession, you cannot help but to think of hating being a nurse but at the end of the day, you will forget everything and try to keep going.

Well, I believe it is a matter of vocation. But whatever odd things you heard about nursing, I can say that there is something in the profession that keeps many nurses to be faithful as nurses.

I love being a nurse....yes the work is physically and emotionally difficult at times....the paperwork and documentation we are required to do does get overwelming....we do not have mandatory overtime in my unit...I work in an intensive care unit....I work 24 hours, get paid for 36 hours with full time benefits, and I get paid very well....my retirement package is not great thru the hospital but I plan on my own for that....I would do it all again, but I would get my master's before I had kids....
