I got a job offer, I am waiting for them to contect me about the starting date. How long do I have to wait to start a job?

It all depends. If you have to get 2-weeks notice, then your new employer must take that into consideration before you start. But every company is different. I know people that have started the very next day, and I also know people straight out of college that interviewed in January and were hired for a position opening the following summer. So it all depends on the company. Good luck!

It depends on the position and whether or not you have to relocate. The typical start date is the Monday following your actual hire date.

It is usually the Monday of the following week.

Unless you need a week or more longer, the employer usually should notify and come to an agreement with you as to your start date. Did the HR department not tell you when?
