This is a serious questions, teach him that some people make bad decisions. Same as being gay, or lesbian. Just bad decisions.

Maybe if you actually edamacated him he may see the error of being a closed minded bigot. I think, and I know that conservatives do little of this, that if you were to teach him what it is to be a caring human being and let him make up his own mind he might not turn into another right wing religious conservative ignorant redneck like his PAW seems to be.
But that is not going to happen if PAW has to ask a question like this one.

First I'd tell him that the correct grammar is "Paw why DO liberals hate Jesus?" so that he doesn't grow up to sound ignorant and uneducated.
Then I'd explain that it doesn't matter whether they do or not because Jesus, if he ever existed, was just a man like any other and he died over 2,000 years ago so he's long past caring whether anyone hates him.

how do you know if liberals hate anything..you speak as though they are all think alike..how do you know if some liberals are christian or not?? maybe some liberals are Muslim maybe some liberals are Jews so how can you assume a whole political party hates jesus or anything else..i think your question is not clear and has no intelligent meaning to it whatsoever. i am a Jew and i love God and not jesus and i am a democrate too lol lol lol lol lol

Actually, looking at Jesus, he was more of a liberal than a neocon. Remember, he hung out with shepherds who *liked* their sheep a lot, as well as prostitutes, adulterers, and (gasp!) the poor. The right-wing Christians would never be caught dead hanging out with any of these people.
I was once in downtown Chicago when there were these born-again Christians in front of me. When they got to a homeless guy, they told him "get a job" and left. (I did what I usually do, and gave him some spare change)

Son, they dont hate Jesus - they just tell they do because they need the muslims, hindus, atheists and other minorities (including some terrorists) to vote for them.

You can tell him that liberals have a different opinion of carrying out god's will, and just don't think that invading countries and killing innocents is the way to go.
