The Old Testament is the only place where you will find laws speaking against it...But supposedly Jesus came and fulfilled the prophecies so that we do not have to follow the laws of the Old Testament...If we did still follow the rules of the OT we would stone people to death all over the place for working on the Sabbath, being disobedient to our parents, worshipping other Gods etc...Personally I think it is all a bunch of mumbo jumbo but the prophecy fulfilled thing works most of the time for anything that has to do with intollerance in the Bible (because 90% of it is in the OT which Jesus fulfilled) abortion is a different issue, Jesus said it is better to sow your seed into the belly of a whore then to let it fall to the ground...Sleep with whores instead of masterbate or don't masterbate? Confusing isn't it.
The one thing that sickens me is when they get so technical about it...Marriage is for a man and woman...ok then have some type of common bond that gives homosexuals the right to have the same tax benefits and family rights as other married couples...Is our government refusing to give them that right because they will not produce children? What about men or women that are steril should they be condemned from marriage as well?

Marriage is a sacrament established by God between the first man and woman (Adam and Eve). This institution is to join two people in the pursuit of producing new life. Not only is gay marriage not the same in the sense that it does not contain two complimentary genders, it is unable to create new life through children. It simply isn't marriage so there is no need to oppose it. It never can be.

I have been married and faithful to a man for 26 years. We know a gay couple who have lived together and been faithful for 26 years as well.
My husband and I have cared for one another through illness. We have suffered hardship together. We have come to know that no matter what happens, we can count on the other to be there.
This other couple would say the same thing about their relationship.
I don’t see how their commitment is any less meaningful than our marriage. In fact, they have remained committed without vows, which is more than many heterosexual couples can say.
I have no problem with gay marriage.
If God doesn’t want me to speak up for gay people, why has He put so many wonderful gay people in my life?

I have been a Christian for over 20 years.
I don't care about Gay marriage!
I don't!
If Christians are going to get upset about Gay marriage, then why don't they do the same with every non Christian marriage? Especially those which are done by Muslims, Jews, traditional Japanese, Swahili, etc.?
Why? Because they've been sold a bill of goods from their local trusted pastors, that's why!
I will also say that Gay marriage is nothing, and any Christian should shut up about it and preach the Gospel. But I guess the Gospel is not important to them!
I hope they see this.

Marriage is a holy union between a man and a woman. If 2 people of the same sex wish to be together, so be it, but marriage is for male and female. Anyone can be together forever is they want. I am a former catholic, now christian.

To give sanction to homosexual marriage would be to give approval to that lifestyle, which the Bible clearly and consistently condemns as sinful. I believe that Christians should stand firmly against the idea of gay marriage / same sex marriage. Marriage is ordained by God to be between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:21-24; Matthew 19:4-6). Homosexual marriage is a perversion of the institution of marriage and an offense to the God who created marriage. God forbids and condemns homosexuality, so He clearly is opposed to homosexual marriage. As Christians, we are to seek to share the love of God and salvation through Christ with homosexuals. We are to be loving and kind to homosexuals, while at the same time not condoning their sinful lifestyle.

I am a Christian. I don't support homosexuality, but don't discriminate against homosexuals. I do however believe marriage is between one man and one woman. If homosexuals want to be together, that's fine, but don't call it marriage. They have other terms now like domestic partners, and many companies are offering benefits for domestic partnerships. Leave MARRIAGE the Holy insitution that God created it to be.

Well seeing as the Bible says,
"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." 1Cor 6:9,10
"God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator— who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done." Rom 1:24-28
Jude 1:7 "In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire."
Heb 13:4 "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral."
Furthermore Jesus said concerning marriage "at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’" of which he took as a precedent for marriage
Therefore I don't believe in gay marriage since I believe the Bible.
