I am just asking for prayer. I don't expect anyone to come up with any answers for me. I am just finding keeping up with teaching h.s. and working part-time and overseeing my elderly folks and taking care of home and pets and everything else while battling health problems is more than I can juggle right now. Prayer is all I ask.

"Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable.
He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power.
Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly,
Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary."
Isaiah 40:28 - 31

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.
Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for me with all your heart."
Jeremiah 29:11 - 13

sounds to me like your taking the easy route out. But if your sure that you just can't do it, tell you Mom what you just told us. Your struggling to keep up with your classes, with all the recent stress, and you think you need a break to catch up with yourself and your emotions. Ask her for, say, a year of homeschooling, and then you'd consider going back to school. You've done both of you a favor by doing that. You save your skin if you despise homeschooling, and you give her the options, not, "I have to have this." Good luck!

My mother homeschooled me as well as my two sister, one of my sisters through highschool. It is not an easy job. I am sure you have heard people say that you are a great person, to have such patience, and that is very true. I will pray for you and ask God to give you the wisdom and patience to run such a busy lifestyle.

You bet! I do know just how you feel. I'm hs'ing 3, we have our own business, deal w/ my elderly mil, have pneumonia and of course try to deal with the house.

Right now my kids are doing a little more around the house and we are doing a little less hs. You just gotta do what you can and not worry about the rest.

I am a single mother homeschooling, working, and going to college and my mother just called me and told me she has cancer. I understand how you feel. I love you in Christ Jesus and I will pray for you. No matter how rough things get, never forget that Jesus loves you so much that He paid the ultimate price.

I will pray. If you are homeschooling teenagers give them the pets chore and some of the house work. And ask if they would help with the folks. Then take a deep breath and say Thank you, Lord for giving me the grace to make it thus far. Then give yourself a pat on yourback.
Psalms16 says,
1: Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
2: O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;
3: But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
4: Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
5: The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
6: The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
7: I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
8: I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9: Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
10: For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
11: Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
