Just a few more details. This is Hamilton Beach Product . The water resivor is limited in space. It can not be wiped out by hand. I have heard of vinegar...but what kind White? CIder? HELP!

No chemical type cleaners!!! Whichever vinegar you have handy will be fine. It's the acidic properties in the vinegar that breaks down the film. Unplug the coffee machine so the vinegar can soak in for about 30 min. Then plug it in and allow it to boil and run out. Then do a rinse cycle once more time so you don't get vinegar flavored coffee. ;-)

I use a Mr Clean magic eraser on my coffee maker and coffer pot it takes the stains right off..

You can wash it in the dishwasher. I frequently run water with a cup of vinegar thru mine and have no problems. If that doesn't work, try a cup of bleach with water. Good luck.

CLR works let it soak wash well b4 use

let it soak with warm soapy water in it.. then scrub softly with a sponge.
