Sterilized needles are used
because they whoever is using
the needle doesnt want to risk
spreading germs of a disease
lf the person getting lethal injection
may have a disease like aids
or some other disease

This is also why gloves are worn
while giving needles.

That's like asking why we don't just beat them to death with a bag full of soda cans. There's a humane way to do everything, even killing someone, including but not limited to "going thru the motions" of using a sterile needle to do the injection with.

This is joke at least 50 years old. Also this appeared here over 50 times as well.

The answer is they do not sterilize needles. Needles come individually wrapped sterile packets.

You realize, I hope, that this question gets posted at least once a week!
It's because that's the only kind you can get. They're bought in bulk pre-sterilized, and it would be nuts to pay a lot of extra money and stock separately just to have a few non-sterile ones.

I should think it's rather obvious. If a thrashing injectee causes the injector to accidentally stick themselves with the needle, a sterilization prevents the injector from catching any diseases.

What are they supposed to do, send someone out to find a dirty needle in the back alley? Bring it in and risk sticking themselves?

The man hours alone are more expensive then just using the darn clean needle....

They originally wanted to lock them in a room full of agressively stimulated pit vipers but someone told them to clean up their act, and naturally, they went overboard to the other extreme on their next power point presentation to the board.

That is a requirement set by the same people who mandated that the Kamikaze pilots wear helmets.

Wow, that's SUCH an original question! We only see it every few days.

In order to have an UNSTERILIZED needle, you'd have to remove it from the sterile packaging and drop it on the floor or spit on it. They come sterile.
