Learn how to say no. Especially if these favors for people in different departments will not affect your employment status.

Your employer is wrong in this. You deserve clear direction. My recommendation is to get yourself centered and go to your boss (your first one). Tell them in a calm way what is happening and you would appreciate their help in determining who you should take work assignments from and to set priorities for which work needs to get done first.
I have seen this happen when an office has too much work to do and not enough people to do it. But, your employer has to face facts and get it under control. When employees are in overwhelm productivity and morale suffer.
Good luck!

dont walk out until you have something else lined up. Im sorry you feel that way, its very common in the work place. Look for something else but mean while donnt stress . Stressing about what you cannot change only gives you more problems just hang in there meanwhile
good luck

Call for a meeting with your boss and request a written illustration of the chain-of-command. Then, the next time someone that isn't immediately above you on the chain-of-command tells you what to do, shove the paper in their face and tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine.

Put your footdown and grow some nuts and tell them look I have my own stuff to do and I'm not getting paid to do your crap and then go back to doing your own stuff or either do thier work really bad and they will never ask you to do it again or get a big raise from all the diffrent smucks making you do that stuff...

You have to have a chat to your real boss and explain the situation,Just to cover your back. The reality is your own work will haunt you.
At the same time you have to tell the other that they have to do their work instead of passing it to you.

You need to take control of what is going on with your job.
Find out who your boss is and address your problems with them.
