theres a girl where i work, shes pretty cute. id quite like to get somewhere with her beyond the odd bit of chatting and getting her to do stuff for me (shes my unofficial assistant).
before i make a fool of myself, i want to know how open she is likely to be - shes quite smiley with me and will often do stuff for me when i ask. i dunno if shes just being generally nice or doing it for me as shes into me abit.
what would be a female perspective on this? shes 18 btw if that makes a difference.
any signs of her being into me would be cool, as this stuff goes over my head usually and i tend to get it wrong.

she seems shy, so i wouldnt pounce or anything, just ask her to go for a drink on a friday after work or summat. but i wouldnt make a move staright away

Did you ever think that she is doing the things you ask her to do because it is her "JOB", & you always want to be nice to a so called boss or supervisor(s).
Think about it, what if you 2 do go out & you find that she isn't what you thought she was, will that change things at work?
I mean there are times you do not mix work & pleasure/social lives together. And how does your place of business feel about inter-relationships among personal? They may look down on it.
I am not trying to be mean here, I just want you to think things through before you act, & to find out if going out on a date will affect your working relationship, & if there is a policy at your job that prohibits work place involvements.
Maybe you could ask her out for lunch (only after you check your work policies & make sure that it would not violate them.)
Talk at lunch & get to know her, keep it casual & see where it goes from there.

Sounds like she is doing her job if she is asked to do stuff. Only way to know if she is into you is ask if she has a BF or wait closer to the weekend and ask her what are her plans for the weekend, anything fun??? See how she answers sometimes a girl doesn't want her "boss" whatever you want to call yourself to know they have a man b/c the woman wants the boss to fancy her...do u get what i'm trying to say? YOu get more being single then if your in a relationship well pretending to be single. How old are you if she is 18?

Conveniently drop in on one of the lunch dates and meet the guy that way. See if there is something there for yourself. I would also drop a hint to his wife, as she has a right to know her husband is having a weekly lunch with another woman, whether he is cheating or not.The fact that this guy doesn't have the balls to meet you is worrisome, to say the least. Your girl most likely sees them as friends, but he might not and might want something more from her. It could be he's slowly working at her. I would trust her, but not him. She won't do anything, but that doesn't mean he won't try like hell. If that's the case then expose his sorry *** and get her awya from him.

Um... I don't know all the details, but I think she is doing her job. If you are unsure, try having small talk with her and become more involved with getting to know who she is as a person...i.e.... ask her questions that would give you an indication she might be interested in hanging out with you... chances are she just might like you....females do tend to find interest in some guys in the work place if there are no clashes ....

well anyways, some signs of her liking you back could be....
if she looks at you constantly
bites her lip around you
if she flirts with you & nobody else
if she dresses alot better then the day before, she could be trying to impress you.
if she asks you if your single
**Every girl tends to flirt alot around guys they've just met, so make sure once you get to know her that she is still nice & smily & hehe. [dont ask] lol.
if you were hott, then she'd deffinatly like you back. as long as you dont have a beard or mustache. that turns us offffffffffff!!!!!!!

Just take the plunge and ask her out. You have the same angst everyone else has about being rejected. The only way you will ever find out is to just go ask. Dont over think it. Just ask her if she'd like to go out sometime.

i don't know what to say to you as I dont know how old you are. Maybe she is just trying to obey you and be nice with you. Ask her if she has a boyfriend and maybe want to go out with you if she single. Then take it from there....one step at a time.

without knowing that what she feels about you dont jump in to it... and dont make any assumptions.
If she likes you its good ... but it could be other way as well..
she is helping you as she is your assistant and she cant deny...
some people are always happy and smiling face so dont assume again that coz she has feelings she smiles..
i am very lively and cheerful person as well ....
honestly you cant say anything yet...
let couple months go and slowly make progress...
like ask her about her intrest while chating to her... and then you can ask where she likes to go out on weekends..
make slowly move...
if she likes you as well ... she will be yours soon...

The only thing I can say is ask her out for coffee or something. How would you know how the water feel if you don't test it.
