who will i be housed with after basic? in a-school, will i be housed with my fellow classmates of the same gender? after a-school, will i be housed with my co-workers from the same battalion or will i be housed with same gendered people from a wide variety of job ratings?

In AIT you will live in the barrack with other female Soldiers in your Battalion...when you get to your first Duty Station you will live in your Unit's Barracks...usually E-4 and below have one room mate...but it all depends on how many rooms are available in the barracks...

Barracks will depend on the location..anywhere from 1-3 roommates(same gender) during A school.
Duty stations.. usually you will be housed in one building all the same command(separated by gender of course). Your roomates will be the same paygrade as you, or only one step higher or lower.

In the marines, we had separate barracks for each squadron. Nobody from a different squadron lived in our barracks.
In a-school, our class was only 30 or so people, but the barracks held probably 300 people, so mostly is was people attending the same school but not neccessarity the same class.

You'll be put with people from the same battalion who has the same m.o.s and same gender.
