Good point Jason,
They must be two separate personalities

1 Corinthians 15:28 shows that Jesus is in subjection to his Father too, also showing that they must be separate

Sincere bible students in search of the truth of the scriptures would do well to research the origins of the Trinity doctrine as it is significant in proving it ungodly & unacceptable to Jehovah/Yahweh the only true God
Psalm 83:18

Concerning the illustration of the Weatherbee's firm:-
You say that all partners are "equal" & "all with the identical credentials and position"
The Bible clearly shows that Jesus & Jehovah are not equal though
John 14:28
Jehovah is greater than Jesus which disproves the Trinity teaching that they are co-equal.

Another good scripture is Matthew 24:36
The Father knew something that the Son didn't
This shows they are separate too

When reasoning on the scriptures we must take ALL scripture into consideration.
2 Timothy 3:16,17

I'm amazed that no one has asked what is "the Kingdom"?
What did Jesus do to "it" before he passed "it" to his father?
What will Jehovah do to "it" now that he has "it"?

Maybe if more people understood just what this Kingdom is and what role Jesus played in the resturation of "it" they would understand how God and Jesus could never be part of the same "being".

Jesus has a distinct job to perform. He is to rule the Kingdom for only a certain amount of time. It is limited to 1000 years. (Rev 20:4)

What is the Kingdom?

Who rules?

What subjects?

Where?

Why?

What changes during that 1000 years?

If you cannot answer these question than you are not a true student of the bible and need to search out the truth.

Right. Who said the trinity makes sense? This verse clearly says that Jesus will turn over the Kingdom to his God and Father. Does that not show that Jesus and God are separate persons, instead of both of them being part of the same God?

Also, where is the holy spirit in all of this? Are we to say that another part of God had nothing to do in the kingdom arrangement? It is nowhere to be found.

Disciple tries to prove evidence of the trinity by citing Col. 2:9. He says: "For IN HIM
DWELLETH ALL THE FULNESS OF THE GODHEAD
BODILY".

If this were proof of the trinity, then that would mean that not only did Jesus die, but the Father and the holy spirit died too. It's a good thing for the universe that Disciple misapplied that, or all creation would be in trouble. Satan and his demons would be our new rullers.

I wonder why Catholic Crusader ignored 1 Cor.15:24, instead of citing scriptures that he feels gives evidence of a 3-in-one God.

Catholic Crusader shows his confusion by citing several scriptures that he feels point to Jesus being God. He misapplies every one of them. And IF those verses did show Jesus is God, what does that have to do with the trinity which says God is made up of Jesus AND the Father AND the holy spirit in co-equal, co-eternal, almighty portions?

I would add these points to this question,

What happens to Jesus after he hands over the Kingdom?

What happens to Jesus when God becomes all things to all persons, which is what the verse continues to say.

28When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

Does Jesus stop being God, and the trinity becomes only 2?

The Bible says God is one person.

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. - Deuteronomy 6:4

Jesus confirms this in Mark 12:29

The Father is God Almighty:

"Do not cling to Me," Jesus said, "For I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go and tell My brothers, 'I am ascending to My Father and your Father, to My God and your God.'" -John 20:17

Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. - John 17:3

Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God - John 13:3

Remember what I told you: I am going away, but I will come back to you again. If you really loved me, you would be happy that I am going to the Father, who is greater than I am. - John 14:28

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus - 1 Timothy 2:5

We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you - Colossians 1:3

yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live. - 1 Corinthians 8:6

God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. - Hebrews 1:1-4

Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. - John 14:10

Food for you thought:
Acts 10:37-38 you yourselves know the thing which took place throughout all Judea, starting from Galilee, after the baptism which John proclaimed. You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Jesus indeed was filled with the Spirit of the LORD. Here are some examples : the power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal (Luke 5:17); Jesus during His temptation resisted the devil was “full of the Holy Spirit” (Luke 4:1). It is in the power of the Spirit that Jesus preached (Luke 4:14). It is how He prayed (Luke 10:21). It is how He forgave those who killed Him (Luke 23:34).

As the 1st answer correctly answered (though perhaps not thoroughly), the doctrine of the trinity is based on the idea that there is only one God, but 3 distinct and separate persons.

Consider this (deliberate over-simplification):
The law firm Weatherbee, Weatherbee & Weatherbee is a partnership. All 3 Weatherbees are from the same family, and also equal partners. Weatherbee #1 lent his keys to Weatherbee #2 while #1 was out of town on an important case. Weatherbee #2 returned them at the 1st opportunity.

Of course, the Father was not "out of town", but you can see that 3 separate people - all with the identical credentials and position - could be in this very similar situation.

Note that this is not an endorsement of the trinity, just a logical explanation using that doctrine as a basis. This verse in no way brings into question the doctrine of trinity. Those who believe that it does are simply unaware of the details of this doctrine.

Jesus was created... Proverbs 8:22-36

22 “Yahweh brought me forth as the first of his works,[c][d]
before his deeds of old;

23 I was formed long ages ago,
at the very beginning, when the world came to be.

24 When there were no watery depths, I was given birth,
when there were no springs overflowing with water;

25 before the mountains were settled in place,
before the hills, I was given birth,

26 before he made the world or its fields
or any of the dust of the earth.

27 I was there when he set the heavens in place,
when he marked out the horizon on the face of the deep,

28 when he established the clouds above
and fixed securely the fountains of the deep,

29 when he gave the sea its boundary
so the waters would not overstep his command,
and when he marked out the foundations of the earth.

30 Then I was constantly[e] at his side.
I was filled with delight day after day,
rejoicing always in his presence,

31 rejoicing in his whole world
and delighting in mankind.

32 “Now then, my children, listen to me;
blessed are those who keep my ways.

33 Listen to my instruction and be wise;
do not disregard it.

34 Blessed are those who listen to me,
watching daily at my doors,
waiting at my doorway.

35 For those who find me find life
and receive favor from Yahweh.

36 But those who fail to find me harm themselves;
all who hate me love death.”

I have always loved this scripture. I can picture Jesus Christ looking his Father in the face and handing the Kingdom over to Him. The tears start, as they have already started. .........

This means the new system is in place. No Trinity here.
