They're almost the same premise!

Wow... that was such a lovely show. It had the cute charm of Matilda (for narration) and Edward Scissorhands (for boldness of color). I think ABC should put it on alongside Desperate Housewives.

I hope it lasts a loooong time.

If the show does well, I'm sure that they'll think of some sort of twist or loophole that allows him to touch her. Otherwise, they'll take the high road and give her a noble/heroic death.

They are kinda close, but Tru was all about the right thing...you know, saving the person's life. This guy seems more interested in Money. Anyway, Pushing Daisies seems to be more comic, comedy tends to last longer.

I hope it will. I'm a HUGE fan of Dead Like Me (was, I guess, since it only lasted 2 seasons), and I caught the last half hour of the show :-( I forgot it was on. It has that comic look to it, not like haha funny but more thoughtful and amusing dialogue, similar to Dead Like Me... hope it will last at least 2 seasons also if not more!

Now that you say Tru Calling is similar to this show (and the same producer?) I might look into it...

I really liked it a lot...I thought is was smart and unique....(apparently not as unique as I thought though....I've never heard of Tru Calling)

But I hope it lasts a while. I really liked the characters. Although I think its gonna drive me crazy that the guy and girl can never ever touch each other because obviously they're gonna want to....

Probably not. It all comes down to ratings and anything just a little bit different or unusual (good) just doesn't seem to make the cut.

That's why we're left with reality shows and other junk that caters to the least common denominator.

I hope Pushing Daises will stay around. I remember the series True Calling but never watched it.

I hope so. I liked Tru Calling but it wasn't nearly as funny as this one. It may stick around for the humor. Broader audience....but it may be too oddball for most.

Pushing Daisies is getting some pretty big hype, one just can never tell. But they are giving that ridiculous caveman show good reviews too, so your guess is as good as mine.
